I been growing for a long time, in lots of different houses, on lots of different scales....from a closet with a 250hps, to a full bedroom with 2.4kW and light rails etc....

Have vented into lofts, chimneys, out of skylights, but never bothered with a filter....have always been able to detect a bit of a smell around the vicinity coming near to harvest, but when I was younger I just didn't really give a fuck, and over recent years been getting more and more twitchy about it, specially as the awareness of the "public" seems to be on the up.....

I KNOW, I KNOW, I KNOW....

Moved into this house 18 months ago, and been growing here since new year, I've got a son, so have taken great care to ensure there is NO smell in the house at ll anymore.....

But the last couple of weeks, weather conditions, and impending harvest have caused the whole square where I live to fuckin REEK of ganj.....I was just pumping out of my tent through a soil stack and out of a roof tile, thought I was getting away with it.....

But have realised that as I live in a square, it has been acting like a giant bowl, collecting the smell......really the last few days I have shat it as it stinks so bad...we never normally notice as we go to bed about 10 most nights and it seems to be in the still night air that the smell settles into the bowl....God knows what the neighbours must be thinking....

Anyway, I've now got meself a rhino, and was soo happy this morning to go out into the square at dawn, and not be able to smell a trace of herb, not a trace.....

Can't believe I've never done it before.....lol.gif

Killer Skunk next then

for some reason

Me too. blushing.gif

Only 12 years or so in my case ...

I'm going to have to shell out for a filter - and a fan capable of driving it if I grow again ...

lol.gif that's how I always felt on here blushing.gif when people are always advising new growers of the need for filters....lol.gif I've just kept out of those threads before...

Looking forward to being all pious now and stressing the importance of a CF...

I didn't even get to first grow flowering when a neighbour was asking me about a "funny smell" -

I had a cf already, but was saving it... how stupid was that?

Hm speaking off funny smell

In one of my previus grows few years back i had a filter, security stuff and all regulated but i used alot off airfreshner s in lobby to prevent any smell get trough front door like just in case
....one day my bro calls me all freaked out that my crazy neighbour is going around my floor ringing bells to all neighbours and asking who has a gas leeking and came to his door as he lived next door at the time that she is about to call gass company to come and check it out ..imagine my reaction 20km away lol.gif in car with mate driving like formula 1 i almost puked from g forces to come there and ensure her its just someones lunch burned out floor under and there is no need for panic/stupid blonde snake eyed woman, like she would notice gass leaking doh.gif ,she would just fall to sleep and wouldnt wake up/wich would suited me just fine lol.gif / i now am a bastard lol.gif

here is a perfect example how over worring in combination with paranoid neighbour can get you in trouble ,if my bro was not there at the time gass company, firemans or cops could brake in looking for me passed out our something and find my girls all over the place whistling.gif

had a similar problem... just a little more 'in house'... built a grow-room at one end of a loft conversion but somehow forgot to connect the extract up so blow the air out so it was just collecting in the roof cavity... after one particularly good grow (we live in the country and all smoke weed so smell doesn't usually matter) one of the people who lives here went to work (teacher...) and the whole staff room could apparently smell cannabis all day. turned out the smell was wafting down when the central heating was off in the night. i stayed up till early in the morning to see what was going on and basically, i might as well have been growing in the front room... thank fuck for activated charcoal... she went mental and i nearly had to chop the lot (three weeks from harvest nooooooooooooo...).
Mr. Sparkle
