Hi there,

What size pump will i need to feed around 40 plants?

They are in 10 litre pots of coco/perlite.

Also, what drippers would you recommend?

p.s. my tank size is 80 or 100 ltrs, i cant remember. Will that be enough?

Many thanks

Thanks.

Thats exactley what i was thinking.

When i spoke to Greens they said it might be best to split into two systems to guarentee equal pressure at all drippers but i dont think that would be an issue with the arrow drippers as they are limited to 2 lph anyway??

Does anybody have any actual experience with this number of drippers pleeeeease??

IMO the mj1000 is not powerful enough for 40 plant sites. 1000 lpm sounds good but when you start stepping down too 1/4 inch drip lines that pump will struggle, i know this as i have two MJ1000 and have built lotts of different systems. The length of your drip lines also comes into play when considering pump size as well as how many sites you intend on having. Its not just a case of looking at the LPM rating of the pump and drip feeds and doing a quick calculation it doesnt work like that. I would look at the Hailea 4500 pump, At 18 quid and rated at 2000 lpm its a great little pump and will be alot better than the mj1000 in a drip system with 40 plant sites.

id split it down into smaller sets too
