Is it possible that for everyone this is the best ever year for growing ganja outdoors?
I only had to carry in water once and no mould at all!
Good times for all I hope, for me and my friends this is the best year we have grown outdoors, some are still to be cut but most are chopped and drying with no signs of rot.

I am just starting to read the diaries on this site and it looks like some very good growers here with dedication to grow outdoors with confidence!

We grow out mainly our own seeds but this year we tried some canadian seeds from BC with mised results. We found a couple that we keep but nothing spectacular like we had hoped for.

For me it was just 1220 grams this year as I scaled things back due to other commitments, some tasty smokes in those jars though. I think you get a different flavour from outdoor ganja something more powerful than indoor , I cannot put my finger on it but it is there.

To all the guerilla's for 2009 I salute you and wish you good fortune for 2010 and let us hope for another perfect year and give thanks to whatever gods you believe in for a great harvest this year.

Nope,I just know next years going to be better, nowt to do with weather, never underestimate a man with a plan wink.gif ph34r.gif

Better add I also have a decent sized plot of land 11 degrees north of the equator cool.gif wink.gif

Good results are still possible, some people grow 53 north and still maintain good results each year.

The weather moves around in cycles like the seasons, I think next summer will mean carrying a lot of water so I will prepare my plot near the stream for next year and rest this years plot.

Surely three monsoon summers will not be made four in a row? So I think we may have a hot summer. Not so good for the plants but I think I am in need of a nice summer to enjoy some fishing smile.gif

this year's weather has generally been good to us imo
there's some fantastic outdoor uk grows going on this year. not alot of rain, plenty of sunshine. although the past few days i've noticed night time temperatures really starting to drop. we've had no real frost yet a little patchy light frost here and there i think but nothing too major. i have a feeling it's going to start frosting and freezing soon tho sad.gif
i'm chopping tuesday. if i could trust the weather i'd leave another couple of weeks, but we have some nice sized buds and don't want to risk them any longer. found a tiny bit of budrot affecting one branch of one of the plants last tuesday. i haven't seen them sinse so fingers crossed

Looks like that battery powered pump I splashed out on will come in handy. Used it trice this year alone...

Yup, better than my 1st year [last year], looking forward to some old faves in 2010, and some easy sativa, if I'm lucky enough to get some seeds in Jan. I'm really hoping the purple ones turn out for me next year, that'll look good in the jars.

A battery powered pump! Yes I think we will be using one next year, already a friend uses one to irrigate his crop.
To it is attatched several lines of hosing with tiny holes in buried into the ground. Very good way to do it but this method does not suit me due to my area has to be more stealth than his, but from a small patch like his he always has a good result.

mines been shit this year, my 2 DP B lueberrys got bud rot really bad and were cut early, only ended up with about 4 oz from both,
my 2 killer skunk did a bit better at 5+ oz
the problem was the shite weather i had during weeks 4-8 of flower, rained during the night and all morning till about lunch time or was just shit in general,
veg time was great and pics at mid august show them in a picture of health and they just seem to go down just after flower
roll on next year

Yup my DP blueberrys were shit this year too! Had to cut early due to signs of rot.

Not a patch on last year blueberry crop.

New strain next year, something a little more resistant I think.

I just pulled my DP BB on sunday, nice size buds, plenty of trichs, really filled out after leaving it for a week in the sun. Very impressed with it's mold resistance. Might do it next year, but it does finish late. I'll probably replace it with Durban poison. Anyone looking for another plot for next year, should really take note of where the sun rises and sets. I'm lucky to have an established site, with good sun positioning season wide. Many folks use a site which is great for the beginning, but shady/damp for flowering. Most of us grow near trees, just ensure the trees aren't on the wrong side.

Thats a snap there SB, pulled my BB on sunday too, not a bad yield but could have gone longer... It seems funny but mine seemed to fill out nicely in the last week until the 25th and no mould as you say, My BBerry could have used a week longer but the Papaya was nice and ripe. The Papaya I chopped the same day had a little mould but nowt to worry about, seems it only takes a day or two of rain on chunky ripe buds for the rot to get started sad.gif

That reminds me smoke report and final pics still to post on that one.

Not a bad year for me being my first time growing outdoors, certainly the biggest plants I ever grew. I will say a good result though I only harvested 25% of the plants I started so next year will certainly be better I hope!!
