My roots have started to come out of the drainage holes at the bottom of my pots

Do i need to cover them up so that they are in darkness, or are they ok as they are (exposed to the lights)

Thanks in advance ......

They're fine - don't touch 'em. wink1.gif

Do they need bigger pots? if not i would put some clay pebbles over them in there tray.

Roots will automatically 'air prune' themselves when they come out of the bottom, and die back. The rest of the rootball inside the pot is fine, don't worry about it. If you're still in veg now might be a good time to repot.

They are in 10ltr pots already (and have been since i got em) cry.gif

Been on Veg for nearly 2 weeks, going to give them another week as my space is limited to 6'H X 4'L X 3'W

I have been reading on some of the threads that i should have started in little pots and worked up, but hey ... live and learn and all that .

.... So its recommended that i should not worry/do anything about the roots in the sourcer ?

Cheers

Rest easy.my roots are thru the pots and the top tray and in the nutrient reservoir and fine.

Yeah, ideally you'd pot up from a small pot, to a bigger pot, all the way to your 'flowering pot' (usually 6.5l or 11l) - it allows the roots to properly fill out the space. Not the end of the world, but next grow you should pot up. It's all good -you'll still have good smokeables, just not as much as you could have....but good to know for next time.

And yes, relax about the roots in the saucer smile.gif
