hi there i first noticed LSF on 1 plants a weeks ago, i treated with essence wednesday night but it has continued to spred.I removed badly damaged leafes yesterday and today, while i have more essence brewing for tonight, but on the original problematic plant like maby 50% of the leafes are showing rusty spots, is it essential to remove these to stop the infecton? My plants are 4 weeks into flower and i can already see the difference in flower production of the healthy chronic and the original infected chronic! i dont want to make my girl bold. I really need help her guys, anyone had experiance similar?
thanks alot poeple , Joe.
Mr. Sparkle
Sorry mate no, I've had LSF before and it nailed my plants, but since I discovered Essence theres been no problem (touch wood) My plants returned to lush green and full health 5-7 days after my first essence application, although I continued to spray as a preventative for a few more applications.

Did you get the brewing process right? it can be a bit fiddly and if done badly could leave you with a near useless spray sad.gif

hi mate, ive heard so many good things about essence.I thought i got the brewing right , i followd all the messurments and the temp was kept at a consistant 27 lasttime, although today its been at 25 and its 12 hours later and barley any froth, but they were frothing nicly earlyer? I got a pump sprayer too so im not sure where i went wrong, oh well ive fucked it this time around so only time will tell, but il deffo be expecting an oz or so less which is pritty shit considering how nice they were last week! Does anyone have an idea of how much less yeild to expect, say from a room yeilding 0.5g per watt withought shitty fugus shit?
thanks alot.

did i mention 'i hate this horrible shit'!!

Hi great quote, I know how your feeling, I felt like that when I first got it.try the essence it seems to do not a bad job on infected plants, but I'm still seeing spots on mine after 4 treatments and brewing at 32 dgrees for 10 to 12 hours, but they look healthy apart from the odd we spot, Its definatly helping. how long are you flowering and what strain.
whittley01
hey, the odd spot on a leaf is nothing to worry about. I have 3 planst 2 chronic and 1 bubblegum serious seeds, i can see i pritty big differance in flower production between the infected and helthy chronic, there 4 weeks into flower and had 2 treatments but it looks like im gonna be doing it every 4 days for a while yet, i dont mind putting in the extra work so long as it doesnt keep spreding and wiping out my yeild! How bad did yours get? Has it diminished yeild greatly? I hope 25c isnt too low temps for the brewing. joe

The odd spot does matter, you need to remove any infected leaves to try and get rid of it before applying essence.

dirty shit meight I got same thing going on on my cheese. kushebrry & killer skunk the sulphur vapouriser(smells eggy!) seems to be keeping it @ bay after removing affected leafs... im gonna apply essence before this week is out after I get a decent sprayer...

best thing is fast growth as oldtimer1 posted in the other thread somewhere..currently im using the sulphur 8 heurz a time during lights on (im running 24 heurz veg) when I start 1212 will be using the sulphur for 4-6 heurz a night until 4 weeks in & prob use essence till 2 weeks in hopefully wont get it too bad the last part of flowering..

im comparing the difference the sulphur vape makes to last year when I had LSF & it tore the fuck out of everything..didnt lose any plants as I managed to outgrow it but it was REALLY bad in 24 hours it could get all over the shop...

Dometick, shes an impressive plant! Im just fighting back the spred of l.s.f, i dont want my favourate girl to go bold!
Im still cutting back infected leaves and each one i remove is like removing a limb from my body!
Ive treated with essence twice, tiss a shame but im doin all i can to control it.
whittley01
ok so today i put some new batterys in my scales to see how much essence i had been using and a level tea spoon weighed only 2 grams!
That means i only used 3 grams max, which is stated to be a does for prevension, and 5 g being the dose for infected plants.

Hi there

could you put up a pic of the whole plant?

Pic 1 looks like a nute issue

Pic 2 possibly LSF

Pic 3 +4 look like rust spots not fungus - were they from low down ?

how much catalyst do you use in the essence brew?

0.5mil per litre is enough - strong stuff bro

get them in PM granules day1 and every pot up - they become more resistant

hb

may be try putting up some more pics - but 1 strain at a time

Forgot to say

I didnt buy the bio wetter to with essence first time round

a month later i did - big difference

it goes really frothy !

more importantly it covers the leaves better

I move 9 plants out of veg and into the bath for essence application

lean the plant over and spray underneath the leaves

I then water them and leave 1/2 hour

when you go back you can see any missed bits on the leaves

hazy the pics you put up in your post are Mg deficient, no sign of fungus that i could see, the first pic over an LP in this topic has a leaf fungal infection the following pictures show two other types of leaf infection as well.

The thing to heep in mind is that letting a plant get deficient in any nutrient will weaken its resistance to infections.

hi there, ive now treated them all 4 times with essence, each time using a litre , i put about 2ml of catalyst into the mix. ( for the first 2 times i underweighed using the teaspoon method, then i got some batterys for my whales, and realised id been using about 2-2.5 grams of essence, but the last 2 times ive weighed out 5 g.

I did hear about catalyst being good as a 'drench' ,i gave a one-off feed if i can remember about 2ml p/Litre, but when i read this i decided not to use it again. I have been feeding this bublegum plant 1.5ml Grow, and 2.0ml Bloom (Bio Bizz) but recently slightly increased to 2.0ml Grow & 2.0ml Bloom, also i got more Epsom salts last week and have givven just 2 doses and that should do for magnessium boost, ( i added 2 teaspoons per gallon/4 litres of water, and the plant took 4 litres.

The past few days has seen the tips of the top leaves burn, i flushed this plant exactly 2 weeks ago. It is still showing signs of L.S.F in the higher 3rd of the plant. These pics are exactly 5 weeks flowering bubblegum, shes 3.5 ft tall and generaly rather massive in size. In 11l pots.

Its different to the Chromics that are showing lots of L.S.F, What do you think could cause this strange rusty-ness in my bubblegum fan leaves? It is just in the top 3rd of this plant and is not showing on smaller leaves or lower down the plant, as i said the cronics are total differnt and am sure thats a nastly case of L.S.F .

Hope you can help mate, Joe
