my brother grew a few of these and they were a bit of a mixed bag. i've seen some good results but some of the seeds he had just didn't flower at all... odd. really not sure whether you can top them but my advice would be to let them flower out then avoid the autos in the future. if you look at some of the online seedbanks you'll findplenty of short flowerers. for the sake of switching your light from 18/6 to 12/12 you'll end up with much more and much better weed. i'm sorry this doesn't really answer your question but i've seen you post this twice to no avail... autoflowerers (the way i see it) were invented as a sort of 'grow an ounce on your windowsill' sort of deal. nice idea but didn't quite come off. still, i don't want to depress you, people do get good results wth them. i'm sure i've seen a few in the grow diaries section before now. if time is still a constraint after this grow try one of the short flowering NL strains (some of which are as quick as the autos...) i firmly believe that as far as ganja goes you get out what you put in, be it quality equipment, nutes, seeds or time - at the end of the day those extra few quid/couple of weeks always pay off. like i say though... not here to ruin your day... hope it all goes well whether you top or not... check the grow diaries... somebody must have tried it at some point.
thanks for the reply ive got last 2 autos 3 weeks in so thought i would try to top 1 just to see wat goes on,got some blue cheese fems next grow, but im in 2 minds i might chop 1 of the autos and start veging the cheese so when the auto is ready then i can go 12/12 with the cheese,,,just a thought
