ok so from the start i recently got 7 plants from a friend 3 are bubblegum and 4 are an unknown strain found outdoors. ive had them for about 2 weeks and they have grown a good deal but during this time some have begun to look very yellowish indeed. i have fed them with fish mix by biobizz after about a week as i repotted them shortly after there arrival they are currently potted into a houseplant multipurpose and a sand based john innes mixed together. some of the plants look ok but not fantastic and a couple of them look awefull. my conditions are good the temps are between 22 and 24 degrees and the humidity is resonably high.
problems with some of them are yellowing leaves and strange blotches often starting in the leaf viens and then working out. a couple of the plants look fine in comparison to the others but most could look a lot better.
other factors ive considered are the high calcium content in my water the fact the worst of the plants are of this unknown strain which was outdoors originally
here are some photos i hope you can make more sense of this mess than i can!!

Very, very hungry dude... they're showing massive N deficiency.

I wouldn't mix composts personally. Get a decent multipurpose and repot... the pots also look a little small to me, but it's hard to tell from the perspective of those shots - what were the root balls like when you repotted? Any roots showing through the bottom?

they look starving to me, how long have they been in those pots m8?
a repot would certainly help with something like Westlands Multi purpose with added John Innes, that should see them right & give them a dose of epsoms while your at it
a week or so after & you should see a great improvement dude

ok thanks guys your speed of post is very reassuring the ventings good bart i got a 125mm rvk and its a small tent with a 250 watt light it pulls a lot of air and they are cool.
the pots are resonably small but they were repotted less than a week ago i would say that they have rooted to the bottom already and when i got them they were very root bound.
i have fed them a good deal of nitrogen a lot infact since all the yellowing occured but it has made absolutly no difference and im beggining to worry i may have an mg def as my calcium in the water here is high

ok im going to the shop for some epsom salts and some perlite your views have been massivly helpfull so far in reenforcing my belief i have n def but the amount of feed i have used being a high dose makes me think i have a lock out due to high calcium levels meaning i probably have a magnesium deficiency. does this sound resonable to you guys??
any more views would be welcome

you can get epsoms at most chemists..... mine was made by `bells` and cost 89p for 100g
it lasts well as you only need 5g per liter

yeah i got mine at the local pharmacy was £2.50 for a kilogram of the stuff. gonna water it in a little later as i dont want to rot the roots as i just repotted and that tends to damage roots that have been damaged when lifting off the side of the pot.
does anyone know how often i will have to dose them with epsoms and can i feed while watering epsom salts at the same time.

From what ive read about epsoms most people spray directly on to the leaves im not too sure how often though either ide guess twice a week until mg deficiency has gone ?, and then every two weeks or so? just guessing but thats what ide naturaly do if i didn't have this site

Hiya rebirth nice to see you back around dude.....
Have a look at the Epsom salts thread pinned at the top of this forum mate, can't link sorry, don't know why

I do know that too much can cause lockout of other nutrients.. So take it easy!
Good luck man.
