problems again and hoping someone more knowledgable could take a look please ?

got a problem with my roots in my buckets , starting to get some greeny/grey slime on my roots and airstones and general slowness in growth .

they are in five seperate 20l buckets with 65lpm of air shared between the five , under a 600w light . temps in the room are around 70-75 maximum with the lights on and around 65 off . i've a fand bloing over them and plenty of air being pulled through the room . hav'nt actualy got a thermometer to measure the nute solution which at the moment is at ec 1.4 and ph is quite low when i checked a minute ago at 5.2 . ill be changing the solution again tommorow for the third time this week so can bring that back up again . the temp in the bucket is cool to touch , i'd say too cool probably .

been giving them liquid oxygen at the recommended dose every two days and changed the solution three times in the last 7 days , cleaning out the buckets and airstones each time in the hope of getting rid of it . it's started the last two days to get worse , i was rinsing the roots under the bathroom tap and some broke away .

heres a couple of pics and any avice apprieciated .

thanks

Hi ya, I`ve not seen the root system total submerged all the time? My system water`s the plants every 15 mins while lights on.. Maybe roots need to air a bit more? (flood and drain?) Not sure of your system setup..
cheers..

DWC = Deep Water Culture = 'Bubblers'

That's the way they work with the roots in the water all the time. wink1.gif
