How many pots would you guys advise someone to put in their 1m x 1m x 2m tent w/600whps for maximum potential off each one?

Some people are saying its fine to fit 9 but others think 4 max to get a bigger yield.

Is less really best? Anyone out there have any opinions about this or have some experience within working out ratio of pot number to size of space?

i'm growing nine BB G-Bombs in a 75x75 tent. depends on what you wanna grow (indica/sativa) and whether you want to go for something like scrogging or SOG. SOG is quicker but generally from what i've read scrogging seems to give better yields but requires longer veg.

I'm doing sat doms (and a few pure sats) in my DR100, so will be using 9 pots.

i see.. wow u must be tight on space, how much are you averaging in grams from each p after harvest + what litre pots u using? im looking at ak47, bb blue cheese and applejack which i think are sativa but i might be wrong, not going for scrog though.

you using a 600 or 400hps, also what size fan and filter is best you think?

400, because I want the most height possible for my Haze and ESB. I'm sure a 600 would be fine too, if you don't mind losing some height. I have a diamond reflector too which should help

I'm using a 5" RVK + carbon filter, with passive intakes, which I think is absolutely fine for this tent.

anyone else know much about tending for ak-47, big buddha blue cheese, amnesia or applejack?

those are the 4 types im looking to try but have no clue on their styles of growth etc etc.. only on how they smoke

ive run a 400 dinmond reflector in the same tent, i think its plently of light, you can really get it close( about 10 inches normaly) to maximise the effecency.
Nevr tyed SOG or owt like that before, although i can see it has its benafits, its defo somthing im gonna look into in the future.
If you grow proppa bushes, vegg in 6L pots under the 400mh for 1 month, till there about 15''. I vegged till 21'', got 3 bushes in there(3-3.5ft) in 11L pots, taking up every avalible inch of space The time before that i flowerd 4 smaller bushes in the same space. The reason mine branch out so much is because i start them off under metal halide lamp, they grow big, fast.

hmmm i get ya.. i woz planning to put them straight under the hps light after they root from the jiffy soil bag but now im considering buying a halide to take it through veg like u said... it seems to produce overall better results.. can i ask which strains u used and how much did u get on average from each p after harvest?

I would find out what the height stretch is in flower (2x, 3x or somewhere in between really) and then just veg accordingly, topping if you have to... although with 9 pots in 1x1, you might as well go for single colas! If you go the 4 pot route, I'd top em at least once

i'm gonna go up to 6.5l pots then flower whenever the rootmass looks ready. this is a mostly (75%) indica strain and will grow a main cola rather than many heads. i possibly could have put another 7 in and kept them in slightly larger pots than these but i just bought 10 seeds as this is my first grow in my new tent setup.

the strains you mention are predominantly indicas (i think, maybe not the applejack) so would suit a sea of green style garden. the cheese/blue cheese seem pretty popular and a mate of mine grew some really nice cheese a while back.

my brother on the other hand has just finished a grow with less plants grown bigger. he uses CFL lights so a direct comparison is hard but my own personal preference (for high as well as growing) is with the indicas. semi sea of green, grow em pretty tall. big long frosty colas... mmmm...

i'm using a halide for vegging... gotta be the way to go. theres a great thread on light that randalizer started (can't find it right now) and it's sold me on the benefits of the right lights at the right time. i may also switch back to MH for the last week maybe two of growing... i've heard this can help things to fill out although i'm still unsure about this. all i know is my plants look much more stocky than when i've vegged on HPS/dual spectrum in the past.

i see.. im kinda on a tight budget but it looks like im goin to have to take your route with the halide for sure now, thanks for the heads up! are u running a diary on this as id like to know what sort of feeding + light sched ur doing etc ...

i would def suggest 9 plants in your tent (at least) depends how your getting your plants (seeds/cuttings) i reckon 16 is well within the bounds of a 1m x 1m tent in 6.5l pots but that means two packs of seeds... but you've got two meters height there to play with so you shouldn't have any real height issues unless you go for a monster sativa.

above all i would decide what sort of high you want and decide what to grow based on that. it's no good growing 20oz plus of something you don't like. if you prefer a more cerebral high go for a sativa (not really my area of expertise) and if you want a couch-locking body stone, head for the indica section. indicas are generally rated as the best strains for medicinal use as they contain higher levels of CBD which is an anti inflammatory. it also (research would suggest) has some anti-psychotic properties which means indias are generally less trippy and less likely to cause anxiety. i have a number of friends who stopped smoking weed because it fucked with their heads but when they tried a pure indica found they had no problems. if yield is your main priority then go for one of the more commercial indicas, if you have time then you could grow a few mothers and take enough cuttings for a 16/25 plant SOG. if not 9 nice size plants will give you a good quantity of ganja. have a cruise round some of the online seedbanks and see what takes your fancy.

im gonna kick back and have a good look around and filter down the best strains that i like.. i do enjoy gettin super stoned but not really looking to get some paranoid brain in the future ... maybe i might mix and match and see how it goes from there... nice diary btw il be watching that space...btw when u suggest 9 pots you meant 6.5 litre ones right because i was looking to flower in 11litre ones as i should have enough space? how come you never decided to flower in bigger pots... cud u still get at least an oz from a 6.5 pot?
