Hey guys, im a cheapskate, im going to buy a 6inch fan for my extraction, would i get away wit a smaller rhino filter ie. 4 or 5 inch?? or would it cause me problems?? cheers guys.

it will still work if u connect it correct but might restrict airflow a little and be less efficient than the6"

It will hinder airflow a LOT mate. And the filter may not cope with the smell! rendering it pointless anyway.
Don't do it dude. Get the right size and flow rating of carbon filter for your fan.

yeah point taken, i may just bite the bullit and get a rhino, do they come in diferrent lenghts as well as widths?? i have a 6 ing fand in a 1.2x1.2x1.2 ten what size filter??

I am using a 6" Phatt filter in the same size tent as you have suspended with bungies, but I admit its a fooking monster of a filter

The 5" Phat filter can handle 500m3h which would probably deal with a lower power 6" fan.
I wouldn't bother though mate, it will make a right fucking racket dragging all that air through such a small space, plus the filter will last longer if you get a 6" one, it's a false economy if you don't get it.

yea they come in 300mm or 600mm length

im using the 300mm in my xl tent with no bother
