dont worry nothin terrible will happen lol.gif, looking thirsty to me if not in need of a new how and fresh drink

do look like they need a good drink, when watering you need to give them a soaking smile.gif
what size pot are they in !

Agreed. Mine normally get 1 litre every second day, with nutes every second or third water. Every now and then they will wilt and I'll give them 1.5 litres and they perk up in no time.

Giving them a good soaking is also a good time to flush the soil - I usually like to flush my pots once during flower.

Definitely your watering regime that's causing this mate. You shouldn't have to water them that often really.

Don't give them a litre, keep giving them water until you see run off through the bottom... make sure they're properly saturated. If you have suitable trays, let them sit in a bit of it too (not too much, or you'll wreck your roots).

Then don't water them again until the soil almost completely dries out (not completely, otherwise they'll wilt... you want to catch it just before they do that, and also before the medium starts to crack up/break away from the edges of the pots).

Usually works out at every 3-5 days.

You should be giving them nutes every watering once you start giving them nutes in flower. You shouldn't start giving them nutes until they've used up the nutes in the compost/medium.

It's impossible to flush nutes out of soil by soaking them with water.

To be honest I just looked in to see why your plants were getting paranoid. unsure.gif

Are you sure? When I was starting out, any time I fed my plants every water ended up in severe nute burn. With my 400w HPS drying out the soil quite quickly, a watering within two days was usually needed and far too early to be adding more nutes.

I never mentioned flushing nutes. I flush my soil a few weeks into flower after a soil pH test.

You shouldn't have to water within two days really, as long as you are saturating the medium correctly (until run off, and then letting them stand in the run off).

And yeah, I'm sure. You could have been feeding them too soon or too much. How did you determine when to start feeding them?

I agree with eri - you're watering schedule is all to cock. You should be following a wet/dry cycle where you saturate the medium, watering until runoff and then letting the plants sit in the runoff water for 20 minutes or so, and if they have absorbed all of that, then keep watering until they can hold no more.

Then only water again when they are nearly dry (but not so dry that they wilt or the compost comes away from the sides of the pots) - you can tell this by feeling the 'heft' of the pots.

If you were burning your plants by giving them feed every watering then you should decrease the amount of feed that you're putting in the water. wink1.gif

Yea, when I was just starting out I might have been feeding them too soon... However, my lamp does dry my soil out quite quickly (a litre normally saturates and runs off - and I don't water every 2 days regardless... only if dry/light); usually 2 days, 3 at the very most depending on the temperature. I have decent ventilation etc. I read some time ago that allowing them to stand in the run-off allows any built up salts to be drawn back up into the soil... Anyway, looks like you've been at it much longer than me and I don't want to hijack the OP's thread. smile.gif
