hey all
ive got a 6'' rvk suckin out from my 1.2msq tent (no filter yet) my intake was just being drawn in from the room the tent was in as i have not enough 6'' ducting to run an intake. (dont sell it near me and cant make grow shop for cple weeks..)

ive just came into a bit of 'semi-rigid' 5'' flexi tube and put this in from tent to window..

now i understnd ppl say a passive intake must be 2/3 times size of outtake but theoretically any air removed will obviously be replaced, so size shouldnt be an issue..... no?

ive zipped my tent up and sat inside and when my hand is over the intake u feel a real wooshing of cold air coming in.. enough to blow the plants about a bit

is this ok being smaller as i've been told many times intake MUST be bigger if passive??

MS?MJ!
It'll work, just not as effectively as it would with passive vents of the correct size - you will have reduced airflow through your tent and therefore more heat, and your fan will also be working harder to shift the air which will probably shorten it's lifespan.

hey dude,

actually my temps dropped 1 degree! room may have been kina warm tho.. and now tube goes right to semi open window

do you think it will be a noticeable cut in lifespan?...... i dont even know how long they are ment to last lol.gif
