just noticed on my durban poison outside that there are some small white markings on the top side of some leaves. i think it might be a bit of mold.it appears a bit powdery. cant i trim the bits off or will it be hidden in the bud flower as well....ie,is it fucked!!.....i read somewhere using the whole lot as hash and doing the water/ice extraction method.....any suggestions would be much appreciated

trim it off as you see it to get rid of it. otherwise it will spread like wildfire. i don't think you would have mould hidden in the buds without being able to see if the bud was affected but not 100 % sure about that so wait for aomeone else to advise you. not sure about how to make hash either but i do know 1 thing and that is to cut it out!

Get hold of some PM spray and give them a spray immediately (AN Protector, CX's PMT or anything else). Remove the really worst affected leaves, but don't go too ballistic if you're not near the end. SPray thoroughly and keep doing it every 3-4 days and it should go. PM is a bitch but spraying works and you should be able to get your plant finished and get most of the smoke.

The PM is in the plant, not just the leaves - but if you give it a good spray it will kill most of it. It shouldn't' affect your buds if it hasn't grown onto it - if it has, spray it (unless you're really right at the end)

i would be wary about putting mouldy bud/leaf through a screen to make hash. if you consier that the purpose of said screen is to filter particles by size, you have to assume that the mould being a relatively small particle will find it's way through. only way to be sure really would be to find out the size of the mould particles. it may turn out that they are small enough to fall out through the last screen as waste separating it from the goodness but without a decent microscope and a graticule, working out sizes of small things is pretty hard. when it comes to any preventative/curative sprays etc, remember that your going to smoke this and if you attack it with nasty chemicals to near harvest, you'll be smoking them too...
