I've just got a new bulb(sunmaster 250w) and attached to Ballast and have 6 lowryder 2's. How far should I put the light away from them. Your comments on this would be most helpful, thanks in advance:-)

What ventilation do you have?

6"-12" with decent ventilation would be about right,

I am using the passive intakes on my 0.8m x 0.8m x 1.2m tent. I have also a TD250 turned to its lowest setting extracting the air through ducting into a carbon filter. I have a clip on fan inside the tent to circualte the air.

I had my 250w plantastar 6 inches away from the canopy on my Lowryder#2's.
Put the back of your hand on the canopy for 30 seconds,if the heat on your hand is uncomfortable then raise the light a bit.

Wow Amnesia, your results were fantastic and if I get anywhere near your amount i will be more than happy, I'd be happy from a half oz each plant, although I'm bracing myself for the worst :-( This is my first attempt so not getting carried away

I started off in 1L pots and transferred in to 10L pots bout 10-12 days ago. I hope that is sufficient

Cant see why not really ani,..usualy most folks pot up three times up into there final flowering pots.whats your last pot size? i use 12 liter pots for final...usualy about 2 to 3 oz per plant.but thats after a few grows now.

The 10L are the final pots, I'm hoping this will be ok after reading and taking advice to re-pot after 3 weeks in to the final pots. I've read that 7L were sufficient in some cases so decided to go with 10L as they are lowryders

I use a 250w, get a fan blowing directly across the bulb and you can get it to within 4" or so, i tend to have it about 5 to 6" for the best spread.

Oh shit sorry ani i didnt read proper your doin LR's......silly me.well yeh id say you got it right for lowryders but then iv never grown em out.. .Sounds about right to me tho....he says waitin patiently to be put right...
