after the disappointing new purple power from nirvana which says harvest end of september on the packet, but did not start flowering till october im starting not to believe seed banks info, ive ended up getting early girl from sensi seeds
which says harvest mid september has anybody ever grown them and are they reliable and finish on time ?
i dont want to mess next years up to

I grew Early Girl in 2004 in the South West. Started flowering in Early October. Not exactly what I'd call early, but I got some leafy crystally bud which tasted of hay and got me high for a couple of months! I have had some lovely pale lavender buds from Purple Power before with large calyxed big buds, although my mate got some deep reds and royal purples on his huge buds grown in a conservatory. Purple power was good for me, Early Girl was crap. Sorry I can't help further.

hi jim was your early girl from sensi seeds ? as differnt seed banks claim different finishing times for there early girls.
was your purple power the new purple power which is a Thai/Colombian descent or the Holland hope/skunk 1 purple power which is more indca and a earlier flowering time ?

My Early Girl was indeed the sensi seeds one. Purchased for the very reason they bred it (apparently) to harvest before the bad weather, but no it was not to be. My purple power wasn't 'new' purple power as far as I know. So definately the more Indica based type.

Early girl for me outside was weak in north scotland , i think i managed to get 1 out of the 15 i put out, to finish right. Not the greatest smoke and deffinetly didn't not stop bud rot or infact finish that early.

what strain did good for you ??

The results crushed my will to trek miles for little results, I never bothered growing outside again. I keep it indoors.

from 2004 Sensi Seed Bank, very pretty in the early november light but a total weight of about a quarter from four (4 females out of ten!) plants

And this is Purple power from 2005.

Not the Indica one I referred to earlier, I don't have pics of that. I'm sure this wasn't called new purple power though. Was Nirvana seeds.

they do look grate plants when did they finish for you jim? here is a pic of my purple power do you think im is more sativa then yours i think its hard to tell

this is only week 2 into flowering its not much to look at i doubt my buds will be as fat as yours being this far into October
im off to see them tomorrow which will be there 3rd week into flower hopefully the bud might be a bit bigger when did you harvest yours ?

If I recall, they were brought down mid November due to issues beyond my control. Budrot to be precise. They never finished by any means.
I think yours looks like the one I had tied down, quite sativa leaning. How does she smell, mine were lavender/herby/sweet violet. Among my favourite taste in pot ever.

at the moment there is no smell but when i budded the mother under lights it smelled very sweet /chocolate even candy like strange another guy got the same as me from the same seed bank i did and his smells like apples i wounder why this is? do you have any pics of your early girl ?

you early girl looks more purple then the purple power thats not right
