Im measuring my Nutes with a blue lab trucheon, I here that the best EC for my nutrient mix is around 1.8 - 2.2 EC (for flowering). If i followed the instructions that Canna gave me, my nute strength is around 1.0, so i doubled up on the nutes and i got it to 1.8 EC (im using Canna Coco Nutrient 275ml of A&B & 100ml Canazyme to a 50 ltr tank) Is that to high or does that sound right???

Also, today i measured my EC strength and over a 24hr peroid my nute strenght has gone from 1.8 down to 1.2. WTF

My P.H. of the tank is at 5.6 if that helps

so far i have used nearly 400ml of A and 400ml of B Canna nutes, to a 50 ltr tank of water and the EC still keeps dropping, and according to the canna website and growell i should only be using 200ml of each to a 50ltr tank.
Im just worried i might go over-kill and kill and shaft me plants, but if it is only the case of them being greedy buggers then i will keep on ajusting.

i think your truncheon is fucked mate

if i put that much in a 100ltr res my ec would of been sky high 2.2ec

when i used it (on 4 grows) i used to find half of wot it said on the bottle and the ec was about right

if i remember correctly your puttin about twice as much as it says on the bottle so your ec would be way too high

wich leeds me to the conclusion your ec truncheon maybe fucked pal

i may be wrong if i am im sure somebody will be along shortly to correct me

hiya mate, i'm on the canna coco, to get an e.c of 1.8, i use 75ml A+B, 50 ml of cannazym and 10ml of rizo, thats in approx 20ltrs of water if thats any help.

You can get calibration fluid from your growshop to test your truncheon

Yea thanks Wappagrower, That mix sounds about right, and i gone well over that, Ya got me worried so i flew off back home asap to sort it out quick.
Just checked me EC after work and after adding 100ml of each A+B to me tank (which already contains 35 ltrs of nutesolution @ 1.2 E.C.) this morning, my E.C. is at 1.4. tonight.
So it must be me super duper blue lab trunceon with 5 yr guaranty and flashing light display is f@#ked then, only bought it a month ago, lucky tho looked in the first place to find the receet and guess what found it!! shame the grow shop is 15 miles away Grrrr!

I will get it tested tomorra, but for the mean time i doubled up me tank with 2x the amount of water just incase of nute burn if i have gone overkill with nutes. This is me first grow (on me own) and f@#k me ive had nearly every problem you can imagine, so all ya advice comes in handy.

Thanks all, took my CF trucheon to the shop yesterday and guess what...... its f@#ked.
They gave me a replacement took it home and tested me nute solution, my EC was up to 3.9
I have got me nute solution down to 2.2 now after chucking loads of water out and adding fresh.

Just hope i aint f@#ked me plants now.

if there looking sad id consider giving them a 24hr flush with plain water and starting again with a fresh res stating with a very low ec, slowly building it up to a more acceptable ec of say maybe 1.5

that is just my opinion. maybe not wot somebody else would do

Not for all products it certainly doesn't - IME quite a lot of products 'advise' you to practically poison your plants with the ludicrously high dosages that they print.
