Full Version: I Think I Am Overwatering

Hi, Iīm a first time grower. I just started the first week of flowering and the plant just got limp. I have been reading alot here and I think this is the cause of wrong information at first and overwatering. Is that gonna be hard to fix?

Is there a way to dry up the medium or should I just wait it out and see?

Thx,

Hi,all you can do is wait now really.
Did you water them when they were dry?,as watering is best done on a wet/dry cycle.if you did this i doubt if overwatering is your problem.

i did it shud be rite first wweek on bloom it wont rot bout 2 days it be dry

The leafs just keep on withering...Donīt know what to do...... doh.gif

Got a pic?

i was once told to whait untill the plantpot is lite before watering again but then this was whils using rockwool not sure the drill with soil.i should imagine it would be similar.??

I have a great advice for those who have this problem with the soil. Use a clean pen or pencil and make some deep holes in the soil around the plant. This will dry the soil faster and oxygen has a better way of getting to the roots.

Thx uk420! yahoo.gif

I think it's a bit more than over watering bro, the fan leaves look deformed. Did you grow this from seed ? If so, I would say you have a mutated phenotype unfortunately.

The only other time I've seen a leaf structure like that is when I've re-vegged from late in flower.

Itīs a clone from a mate. It looked great when I got it then just started withering.

This is a White widow/purple haze accident strain...just trying it... wink.gif

Itīs been drying now for a couple of days and nothing is happening. The leaves are darkgreen but near the stem they are really lightgreen in color...Some of the little leaves at the bottom are drying out alien2.gif I donīt get it...because it keeps on growing bigger....

I just changed the nute formula to less grow and more bloom to try it when I start watering again. Hope that helps.

stop giving it nutes it looks a little clawed imo. your in some form of soil and it aint that old so it shouldnt really have any food for another week or two i'd think(until the food in the soils been used up).

keep to that wet dry cycle also(just water for a while though eh stoned.gif )

EDIT- 1st pic on the bottom leaves, clawed n overfeed to me

Fresh soil so it makes sense. Iīm into third week flowering so Iīll just give it water. Thx doh.gif

Do you have any extraction in there?

Extraction as in 'Air Extraction' ...ventilation...taking stale air out and being frash air in....

I have a 32w fan...but I thought it was making things worse so I took it out to see if it would effect my plant...nothing has changed...
chickenlipsr4
You need extraction to remove stale air and draw in fresh co2 containing air so the plant can breathe AND you need a osclllating fan to act like wind and strengthen the stem. Yeah and overfed and possibly over watered.

Not enough light, not enough air, too much water, your over watering cause the plant is quite feeble, it'll take 2 weeks to dry a pot smile.gif

I have enough light, the growing space is so small I only have to open it twice a day but I will put the fan in again. Do I leave the fan on during nights?

I have a 125w red envirolite and two 32w cool white flurocent, a special resarvoir to keep the humidity steady...I have a steady 21° during nights and a steady 26° during the days and a steady 35%-45% humidity. I have a 13L tank with an oxygenpump and a waterpump so my water for the plant keeps fresh and at roomtemp. I think my first growroom is ok to start with and if this goes well I can hopefully design a better one...But still Iīm only doing this for me guitar.gif

I use gro, micro and bloom nutes from GHE and following their mix. But for now just watering regular water...after the drytime ofcourse... wink1.gif

In these two weeks Iīve had the plant it has almost doubled in size and the leafs just pop out from everywhere...main mission now is getting the leafs back healthy...

From your profile mate...

A small closet, 2mX1,5mX0,6m. I have covered the inside with aluminum foil. I have two 32w "cool white" lightbulps, for growth, and a 125w "red light" flowering lightbulp. And a normal 32w householdfan for air circulation.

That's not that small and you ain't got enough light - ideally you'd want it full of plants and with a 400w or a couple of 250w HPS in there. A circulation fan is good, but you also need an extraction fan (with a carbon filter for the smells) to pull air out of the closet, and some sort of intake (can be passive) to allow fresh air in. It's not just about temps, plants need plenty of CO2 and can deplete it quickly in unventilated spaces.

Fans circulation and extraction should run 24/7.

Looks like over nutes to me, the leaves get that horrible twsited, whispy feel to them.

Hmm... 2m in height, 1.5m in width and about 0.6m depth...and it doesnīt have doors so the air shouldnīt be a problem. I would never fit a light that big in there, Iīve already measured it. But I know I need more watts and I am going to get a 200w envirolight a.s.a.p. Thx for the tips though m8 guitar.gif

I just repotted it and itīs starting to heal up great smile.gif

/\./\./\./\./\./\. wot he said and single leaves ive only seen on a re-veg.meaning a stunted confused and stressed plant..... I personally would veg it more whilst you sort out the environment, as they dont do much once re-potted anyway which is a waste of precious flowering time and take the chance to do lots of reading...... its all here to find, supercroping and scrogging will be of interest in the space you have, then flower away yinyang.gif
