Hi mate,

I made a small veg box out of cellotex insulation boards, taped together with plenty of good old duct tape then lined it with mylar, there's harly any weight to it and the whole thing only took a couple of hours to make. Haven't got pics with me to upload here but there's a couple of shots of it in my diary in my signature.

PS I made my main growbox out of 3/4" ply and no probs with off-gassing or anything like that but i wouldn't like it to fall out of a tree and land on my foot!

isnt plywood made with formaldehyde, which off gasses vapour throughout its lifetime?

I just use half inch box mate. Or 1 ply. And I'd use easy drive screws tbh, its only safer.
My 125w only hits 60c and the 200w 90ish, just point a fan at the light and wood behind it.

You can't go wrong with MDF, quite heavy but strong and easy to work with. Remember to give it a coat of PVA inside for waterproofing though.I agree with the screws too, just remember to pre-drill holes. I'd also use PVA or some other wood glue instead of the glue gun too.
