Hi all,
I have lined my brick outhouse with 60mm of polytsyrene on the inside of the roof, the walls with 25mm of polystyrene and the wooden door with 35mm. Would anyone know if this will be enough to stop it being detected by the old bill in their flybys.
Thanks cain1.
PS The roof is about 2" thick concrete as well as the 60mm polystyrene. The exhause I will be running out in the silenced (insulated ducting) and putting it into a water cooled bin to help cool the exhaust air. But if anyone has any ideas please shout up.

what about the window? Is that covered too?
and the vent? are you venting what will be warm air into the cold, brrr(!), winters day?
plus the gaps between the polystyrene, are they sealed?
it's tough, this hobby! ;-)

Hi quickly,
There are no windows. All the gaps are sealed and the polystyrene joins dont overlap. I am puting the exhaust to a bin with a number of sprinklers inside and letting the air rise through cold water mist.

I'm impressed with the bin idea!
I wouldn't know for sure how safe it was until I hired a thermal camera from the local hire shop..
but it sounds quite good.
I'm sure the good peeps here who have much more direct experience of growing in an outhouse will give you their thoughts.
Good luck, matey

How many watts will you be running?

Hi m8ty,
I will be running a 600w dual spectrum and a couple of 125w enviros. I didnt think the wattage would make any difference though as I will be keeping the temp at 26-27 degc or so anyway no matter the watts.
Regards cain1.
PS We all live and learn though.
