Hello Chaps.
Havn't been on here for a while but my last crop (sage) was dissapointing
4 girls 8 oz.
I am now doing some alaskan ice and the top leaves are curling inwards.
Can anyone help me to make the lil buggers grow straight.
Sorry about the photo but it does show the problem
Regards.

I have found that it is usually a heat, low humidity, light too close issue.

One of the above is usually the issue when that happens to me.

I think it's the leaf trying to expand it's surface area, attempting to transpire more efficiently unsure.gif

I think its the other way around mate, they curl up to stop moisture from transpiring ? Someone will put us right. wink.gif

Hi Cambium.
Humidity is 55% to 80%. temp is between 22 and 29 f.
Running 400 watt cool tube about 12 inches above canopy
have tested temp by hand seems ok.
Will higher light later when light comes back on
Thanks for your quick reply mate
UK 420 is cool Keep on rockin in the free world.

Have you got an oscilating fan blowing on to the canopy ?

I have a static clip on fan blowing over the canopy tops with not enough air flow to fan burn em.
Will try the oscillating fan later havnt used it yet as it blows a hurricane.
Thanks Lads for the help guitar.gif

The clip on fan should be perfect considering your using 400w cool tube.

At 29c and 55%RH its borderline, a touch cooler and damper (26c and 70%RH is perfect for vegging imoae.

Hey, that's not so bad!

I agree an oscillating fan would help. They don't seem to like constant flow of air from one direction blowing on them...

I would have thought a cool tube would be alright at 12"? Can you test the temp at the canopy?

It looks to me like they might be a little deficient in something (by the way the veins are so clearly visible), but it's hard to tell in that light. What have you got them growing in man and when did you last pot up?

Looks like heat stress to me too, the next set of leaves down look ok, i'd raise the light by the same distance as from the damaged leaves to the healthy ones below them. I run a 400w too and any closer than 16" away causes raised edges to the leaves. Have found some strains to be more resilient to this than others tho. Having said all this they do look a bit stripey so wouldn't rule out nutes 100% as above but the pics are a bit unclear.

Good luck buddy.
