alright all,

a m8's wantin to fire a plant or 2 in his loft. . . only problem is he's in with his mum and bro. says his mums ok with it as long as she dont see but if theres ANY smell its not on. .

and hes just wantin to put a light up over dirt. . . no fans running etc. as his young bro sleeps under the preposed grow area so noise/vibrations are out of the question too

his idea is hang some material (blankets/sheets) to create a closed grow space with just a light (probably enviro) grow over soil.. . .he says the space has one of those 'vent' roof tiles above it so air can get in and out without fans. . . i presume he means the roof tiles bathroom extractors get vented out

do i need to slap this c@nt and tell him NO, or do you think there will be no smell downstairs?

hes asked my opinion and im stumped.. . i think its the daftest idea ever but think he just wants to get his own bit goin so quality dont matter... as long as he gets away with it

No chance - proper fan(s) and a carbon filter are a *must*.

what i've been thinkin to tell him, especially if smell is such an issue... how much smell do you think it would produce downstairs if he just went ahead and did it?
been up his loft and the hatch to get up is really well fitted so theres not any gap but it would be directly above his bro and mum

im guessin would be stinkin even durin growth, let alone flower but just a backup opinion wudnt go amiss

It would stink the house out, certainly the top floor, and make everything up there, clothes, sheets, cushions etc., stink of weed. It's really that bad when they're in flower.
