Hi all

Before I begin I just want to say what a great site this is and that I've learnt a lot from here.

I have been greenhouse growing for quite a few years now but this year I've had the best results.

I'm growing femmed Purple Haze planted back in June.

All but one plant I have topped and trained to experiment and will always go this way in future years.

I thought I should share some of my tips with you all. I live east London.
Seed early June in peat pots, no point any earlier. Transfer into LARGE pots when roots are just poking through the peat pots, I do not 'pot on gradually'. Used Levingtons compost with perlite.Greenhouse vent and door have been kept wide open 24hrs until last night. Yellow fly traps scattered around the greenhouse to trap those pesky pests and they really do work.
Using the Biobizz feeding schedule I've been feeding with Grow, Bloom and Topmax.
My top tip for this time of the year is invest in a dehumidifier. I close the greenhouse up overnight now apart from the vent (about 1" gap) and have the dehumidifier and a small fan going all through the night. I then open up greenhouse fully again during the day. I get about 1 litre of water each night via the dehumidifier!!!!
Seriously, if you've greenhouse grow you defo need a dehumidifier. Mine cost £100 but well worth it to stop mould and bud rot.

Anyway, here are some pics. 7th week of flowering. Trichs are still clear so I'm thinking about 2 more weeks.
Hope this is of help to some of you

Welcome irie,

Some nice healthy looking plants there, like your growing style. I'm going back to Levingtons next year after using "posh" stuff caused problems this, I always use vermiculite rather than Perlite but both do the same job, do you grow veg BTW

I bet they can smell you greenhouse in west london lol.gif lol.gif

Good luck with your crop.

Thankyou JOM, like that, just one more - sounds like me every evening spliff.gif . Although I have a huge garden I only grow tomatoes and are just picking the last of them. Being a 'girly' I love flowers so I have heavy duty borders to maintain. But my favourites are obviously my special plants. Thankfully the greenhouse is unseen by neighbours and unbelievably they are not too smelly.

Can't wait til harvest and will post some pictures when I do

I don't want to talk about Tomatoes......... mad.gif

Lost my entire crop of plants about 30 of them, to blight again this year third year in a row, not that fussed about it but the real pain is, I don't have any green ones for making chutney, I can't even buy any, even tried freesycycle on the scrounge.

Look forward to some more pics.

Week 7 of flowering and I'd thought I'd post a pic of some buds taken with my new toy, a usb microscope. great fun. You can see that even though there are some brown pistols, the trichs are still quite clear, meaning a few more weeks yet

Hi Irie, nice plants! How big is your GH? I'm asking cos I have a polytunnel that's 12ft x 6 x 6, and I don't think my dehumidifier would cope with the amount of condensation it gets.

Hi mygarden, it's a standard 8 x 6 greenhouse and I've six plants in there. TBH a dehumidifier would certainly help at any size, just ensure you empty it every morning

Hi SS

Interesting story that. Earlier this year I had a debit on my visa bill for 130 euros that I knew nothing about . It was a strange name, can't remember, but sounded Dutch. I let my bank know and they stopped me card and past it over to fraud.
I was well peed off and investigated myself (great what you trace through google) and eventually found it was sensiseeds in Amsterdam. I have ordered from them in the past but that was about 3/4 years ago.
Thought no more of it until a couple of weeks later when a package arrived containing 10 purple haze fems and the paid invoice with my details. Somewhat bemused I mailed them that we'd both been scammed and that my card had been stopped blah blah blah., and I've now got these seeds. 100% honest Joe me. Never heard another word about it.
So whoo hoo. I'd never spend that amount on seeds and these turned out to be a real nice freebie of the best kind

Anyway, how did your PH smoke. Can't wait til harvest

Irie

Wait a sec...sure you just didn't order them when you were really really stoned? spliff.gif rofl.gif

That's well good, did you ever get to the bottom of it?

Hi Irie,

white label /sensi seed bank same thing.

White label was started by Ben Dronkers for some reason, I was too stoned to remember what he actually said but anyway. wink1.gif

The PH i Grew was a superb smoke that came back at you in wave after wave after wave, a good cure makes the taste really come out and plenty of drying time too, dont try and dry too quickly otherwise it is not nice to smoke at all.

I think they do them price wise now for about 65 euro'sfor 5 femmed seeds.
As you managed to get away without paying for them result mate all I can say.

keep us posted

Dronkers

Dronkers, that was it, the name on my bill. Didn't remember it when I wrote that earlier.
Many years ago, visited sensiseeds in Amsterdam. If I rightly remember there was a museum next door.

I'm a touch worried about harvesting as I do want to dry slowly and then bag for a couple of days and then jar n burp. But..... we're going away in 7 weeks time and I don't want to harvest too soon. In the morning I'll post some macro pics and I would really appreciate if someone could advise me on the best way to go.

Nice to hear it's a good smoke. Can't beat your own HG

rofl.gif You know I did wonder that, for all of about 5 seconds. I just wouldn't spend that sort of money on seeds. I've heard nowt since but I do wonder if they perhaps were trying it on with me? Thinking maybe that as I had ordered from them years before so they had my details. Would they send out, take a chance that I would not report it due to it being illicit content? I really don't know. But I certainly never ordered them. Can't work it out. Odd.

Here are some macro pics of the trichs. Now beginning week 8 of flower. I would appreciate your views and advise with this. When do you think I should harvest?

Thanks in anticipation

Hi Madness

Seeds came from sensiseeds.com. I found them easy to grow and I've put some tips on this posting on page 1.
Hope this helps

Fraid I wouldn't know about the cost to run at the mo. as it's the first year I've used one. Although I did read they cost about 7p per hour. Well worth the cost to avoid bud rot. I only use it during the night along with a little fan
