Hey guys,

When using rockwool cubes in clay pepples within a flood and drain system, how deep should the rockwool cubes be withing the pebbles?

i.e - Should they have a covering of clay pepples or not? (Seen pics of both)

A or B?

And how far would you alllow the system to flood up to? (1" or 2" up the rockwool cube etc)

Plus do the clay pebbles need covering? (i always thought they did to avoid algae if though the water isnt exposed)

My cubes are covered by 1 layer of pebbles, so i actually still see them as such, but the light dont really hit it tempting algae...and no the pebbles shouldnt be covered...

about the flooding...my system floods 1-2 inches up the cube's i reckon and my plants seem happy as pigs in shit...
