i going to amsterdam for 4 days with the other half, first time with other half. ive been there many times but go to flying pig hostel but she wont stay in hostels so thinking about an apartment.need some thing cheap clean n not to far from central area .planning on going on the 19th of feb and coming back on the 23rd .any help would be very appreciated thx
I've got an apartment booked for end of November, looks really nice and is a couple of streets over from Damrak.

It has been a little dream of mine, to rent one of these houseboats for a couple of days. Some of them look wicked! With some friends and my misses of course. 
It should be easy to find an apartment or something if alike, if you look online. Have fun!

I always go to the Dam with the missus and we always get an apartment or houseboat. Best experience was waking up on Xmas morning to snow covered ducks swimming past your bedroom window, with armadas of little boats full of amsterdammers waving at passers by. Houseboats rock.
An apartment or houseboat may cost more but you'll make up for it by being able to cook your own meals or snacks, and you don't feel the urge to spend day and night in coffeeshops buying overpriced hot chocolates and coffees. You also don't have the paranoia about walking back into a hotel trollied or making noisy lurve
Only downside to a houseboat is they're all strictly no smoking indoors, but they all have large opening windows

If you want a really nice apartment there's one called sous 86 and it rocks. Its closest coffeshops are Abraxas 2, Amnesia and Grey Area, all within walking distance; hows that for a top location?

and chandeliers should you feel the need to need to swing off them. 40" plasma, computer in the kitchen for your 420 action while the missus is cooking, and it even comes with a pair of bicycles you can use. Well worth the extra dosh if you want a special weekend.

just found sous 86 it cost 150 eruo per night bit out of my price range but looks the top pad to stay at still looking

according to the website 820 euros a week. Strangely enough the price for 3 nights is 420 euros

I sent him an email and managed to get a last minute deal. Never know your luck
Me and the missus where looking at going just after christmas and were looking for appartments. Seam to be fully booked most places though but were gonna keep looking. trying to fit around work is difficult though

me and my missus went a couple of years ago in january
and it was freezing cold
but still worth it though

Cheers mate, looks really good, we normally stay at the RHO, but love the idea of a bit of our own space.
