Evenin!

I have found some DIY plans to make a real simple version of the iws system, using nothing but a grasslin timers, a mechanical float, reservoir, control bucket and 2 pumps.

Problem being the pump that goes into the control bucket needs to be able to run when dry without it eating itself.

Any ideas on what pumps I could use just that google doesnt bring anything up but stuff in the USA. sad.gif

Thanks for the reply dude, been looking at fish pond pumps but none of them mention dry running doh.gif

Just read somewhere that the maxi Jet 1000 can run dry, how true is this?

Ok so I have found a Marine Bilge Pump that will run dry fairly cheap on ebay. Problem being the elctrical side...

Electrical: 12 Volts DC.

2.5 Amps.

6.0 Amp Max. fuse size.

Ignition protected.

How would I wire that up to run off my mains power?
