Hi

Will be putting my fan filter acoustic ducting in tomorrow. Will be venting through stack 6m and only have 5m acoustic ducting and some standard stuff.

I will be placing the fan/filter in grow room, is it worth putting 1 ft of acoustic ducting between them or is it waste of time ? Will it make things any quiter ?? Or should i just attach fan to filter as you norm see.

Also since i only have 5m of acoustic ducting (for 6m run) which end should i have it ? Near the fan exit or stack entry ?? I will make up the rest with standard ducting.

Trying to keep noise down basically.

Cheers

To reduce noise have the non acoustic ducting furthest from the fan.

i'd put the standard ducting at the end by the chimney, most of the noise is going to come at the fan end, you can put the fan and cf together no problem by why dont you put the cf in the gr and have the fan outside connected by the standard ducting then run the acoustic from the fan straight to the chimney

Cheers guys.

I can situate fan inside or outside the growroom. The only reason i thought of putting it inside is to keep noise down as its in an insulated room and does not take up needed space.
