As the title suggests, Mrs. Sparkle is getting desperate for a Wii and also keeps going on about bowel motion plus or something

I think she wants a wii-fit board too, and enough controllers for four

I'm an Xbox man and havent a clue about that let alone wii's does anybody know of any good package deals out there, or what exactly im gonna need? Don't mind spending the right money just don't want to get ripped off with stuff I dont need or high prices.

If I get this right Mrs. Sparkle and the Sparklings will go away into the living room and play mario-whatever or Wii-sports (sounds wrong to me ) and I can get some peace on the PC or in my grow room

Aye. I wouldn't even consider getting an xbox360 off Ebay due to all the problems with them dying, cos of warranties & stuff like that, but Wii's seem to be pretty much bullet proof so I don't see a problem with Ebaying them, and they should be a lot cheaper than even second hand in places like Gamestation now. Only thing I'd say, though, is that given the way the controller works and is used, you'll possibly/probably have to get those new.

I don't even know the difference with this new motion+ thing or what type of nunchuks or add on bits or what that are needed to play all the different type of games. I know I'll get a bollocking if the boxing game doesnt have the right type of controller or can most games be played using a basic controller?

I find it very confusing, I like to do my gaming with one universal controller or a mouse and keyboard. I know where I stand then

The Wii motion plus is an enhanced controller that gives more accurate control, it comes bundled with Wii sports resort, it just gives better control in the games (not many at the moment) that support it. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_MotionPlus for a list of supported games. The boxing game in Wii sports doesn't require the plus controller.

Got my xbox off ebay over a year ago and still going strong.
I mean it's gonna die now I've said that obviously, but fine 'til now.

Got our Wii exactly two years ago, back when Nintendo when deliberately limiting UK distribution in an attempt to raise demand. It was £180 back then with just one game; Wii Sports. It's come down very slightly in price since then, maybe around £150-160 now but is bundled with a couple of extra games.

Don't waste your money on buying loads of games though. We've got the "Homebrew" channel installed on ours with 100 odd various backup games on an external hard drive, which cost about £35.

DealExtreme is very cheap for extras such as nunchucks, as long as you can stand the 2 week wait for delivery.

Get her one of these Shii - Wii for women

My family has a we it got old real quick, boring. Is it possible to hire or borrow one maybe to try it out for a couple of weeks?

...anyway I don't care it means I'm 1 - nil up in the 'spending cash on things we don't really need' stakes . Time to browse greens for some upgrades methinks
