Hey all just got a new allotment and its absolutley covered in weeds. I think ive identified all of them except one. If theres any weed experts on here please help me. Annuals going on the compost heap everything else on the fire!

No but I'll get one next time im up there. I also have masses of dandelions which will go straight on the fire.

I've never seen that one .. I was going to suggest it's another member of the dock family- like the redshank ... looks like a lot of seeds .

It may be some relative of fathen - chenopodium - a spinach relative.

Think its Tall Water Hemp... Amaranthus Tuberculatus

definitely fathen - I'm not used to seeing it so late in seeding where it's stretched and lost the distinctive leaf shape.

edible in moderation as spinach ...

But don't confuse it with any of the lesser spurges like dog mercury - if it exudes white sap, leave it alone !
