Hi, unfortunately no one on the small Island I am currently living sells hydroponic nutrients, plants shops and agricultural co-oops look at you funny if you mention hydroponics. So I am thinking of using a combination of phostrogen and a local brand of fertiliser (attached images), the phosphogen mainly uses urea as its nitrogen source and the other nitrates. Is there any trace elements that are missing? I have some epsom salts and can get chelated iron. You think this would work? On the phosphogen site it says it can be used as a hydroponic fertiliser ( http://www.phostrogen.co.uk/files/uploaded...rogen%2029a.pdf ).

Hmm just looked up General Hydroponics one part grow and it has bugger all in it ( http://www.cdfa.ca.gov/egov/is/fert/fert2.asp?ID=1864 ), no boron, cobolt, copper, manganese, molybdenum or zinc? Has anyone ever tested the difference between using cheap soil nutes (with trace elements) vs high priced hydroponic solution or is it all word of mouth and no actual tests?
