hi am wondering which tape is better from greens to seal a few joints i have in the runs of my ducting........ Either the Power duct tape or the Metal heat resistant tape?
ben
Thick duct tape works well, the metal stuff is good too but quite expensive and not really needed.

just go for the duct tape m8.... no point using the heat resistant..aint gona get that hot in yr ducting wink1.gif

Heat resistant is good near say cool tubes. But even then, metal clamps, if applicable, are better.

I find that the adhesive for metal tape erodes quickly, especially when near heat.

All the duct tape I have ever used has come undone from heat around extraction ducting etc. I made a Y ducting out of standard ducting & it fell apart with even good duct tape! Also, duct tape in the grow room does not stand up much either unless it is stuck directly to shiny surfaces that do not come into contact with anything over 23C
I personally would recommend the silver tape as the best duct tape that will still stick from heat is carpet fitters duct tape which is around the same price as the good metal tape. Both types of silver tape are good, however do not rely too much on the silver metal tape as it splits easier than the sliver tape you buy for sticking laminate flooring underlay wink1.gif

Why wou you spend a 5iver (+ delivery?) ordering duct tape from Greens when your local Wilkinsons will sell you the same product for £2.50........or an unbranded version for 99p.......... pinch.gif

anyone wants any silver foil tape......then your local lidl is selling 50mm x 15m rolls for £1.49 each today.
