Hi all, i am second time indoor grower and i have a question regarding my 2weeks into flowering pot. It has a lot of spider mites on it - i tried rubbing it with 95% alcohol, i tried soap and garlic.. nothing helped. Now i spray it with water two times a day during the dark period to remove them, but on the next day they make their nets again. I think i can manage to keep their levels low but the cost is spraying on the flowers. My question is: Will this heavy sprayed water is going to flush away the THC from the plant ? I do not know exactly what to do.. I am searching for praying mantis to put on the plant - this is my last idea smile.gif Please help!
Sry for my English but its not my native language.

im a bit of a noob but im sure you want to get rid of them asap and spray from the garden center will do the trick or you get these other live spider thing that you relece in to the grow room and they eat the spider mite then die good luck

Hi vlasti
welcome to UK420

i use SBPI or Derris liquid and they seem to keep them under control, sbpi can be used all through flowering, just don't soak the buds too much and leave them out of your grow room after you have sprayed them to dry naturally before putting them back in under your lights or spray at lights out

easiest and cheapest, drown them with soapy water

I heard a pot of Ladybirds will do the trick. Good luck. GT

I have them currently, and for me, a mix of soapy water and SMC has done the trick so far. I'm also gonna give them a blast of common garden pest killer should they return.

Try and get your temps down a bit, that helps stop them breeding. Also, try and get as much moisture as possible in the room, without bringing on mould. Get it towards 50% r/h and that also helps slow them down.

the best thing i have found was the sulphur burner ph34r.gif bit smelly at times but helps keep the webbing to a minium wink.gif good luck

Thanks for the replies, i have already tried with soapy water - i sprayed it a lot but this helps only for a week and they are back. This time i sprayed it with soap, garlic and a little vegitable oil smile.gif and on the next day i sprayed with Nurelle D (this is a product from Bulgaria where i live, so you probably never heard of it) which is against almost all pests. So now day 3 there still are not any signs of spiders mites, but to b sure i will spray it one more time with Nurelle. In fact i know the moisture kills them but curently the moisture level in my wardrobe is 0% as it was on my first plants. I cant have more moisture so i spray it with water during the dark period. Next time i will start a grow diary smile.gif this time it comes a little bit of accidental grow, i do not even remember what sort i have cropped spliff.gif Here is a picture of my previous growth (10 plants in 4 x 4ft. wardrobe rofl.gif ) -(off site link removed)

Have you thought of adding a mister/fogger to your room. They sell them for reptiles to keep humidity up. 0% is not good for your plants, and quite remarkable that you have it that low truth be told. Most likely the reaosn you have mites, they love dry hot air. 40% is about right for flowering, 60% for veg, 80-90% for seedlings/cuts.
