Just got a new netbook (UMPC, dammit), acer aspire 531, very happy with it, so i removed all the manufacturer bloat, added my own everyday programs.. all seemed fine apart from i tried winamp again after a couple of years off, and it still sucks.. ahh for the good old days of winamp 2.x

but over the last week or so i've noticed that IE just wont display certain pages, ever.. they work on my other pc.. cue much head scratching..

just tried to get on a .gov and bang, 404. Then it hit me, i just made a newbie mistake.. like the time i spent ages scratching my head over a completely dead pc i just built.. only to remember i'd not snapped the atx plug in, just left it over the socket..

i usually just leave pg2 running all the time, i guess i never try to visit any of the sites it blocks
