Hello all,

I am using Canna A+B, due to flower in about a week. My dilema is this........ I will be using Bigbud as my booster, but planning for the PK I am a bit unsure. Could I use PK13/14, 3 weeks before the chop? or should i use the Hammerhead from wk 2 -5, as I am going with Bigbud?

Cheers.

Hi Simon,

As far as I am aware, all/most nutes are essentially compatible with each other - they are all essentially the same thing anyway (very, very dilute aqueous salt solutions - essentially just water).

However, most people probably do tend to use products from the same range, as at least you know the products are designed with each other in mind. I use Growth Technology products, for example (Optimum Grow/Bloom and Ionic Boost*).

Your big-bud is an example of a metabolism boost* product - as it claims to "maximise plant efficiency" etc.

The P/K 13/14 and Hammerhead (P/K) products are the same type of product, just different brands.

Therefore, I would say you could use either whichever P/K product you wanted without worry.

I personally don't use a metabolism boost product, it sounds like witchery to me lol.gif, but to each his own, of course.

*Interesting to note that the industry really could do us all a favour by clearing up its terminology. For example, my Ionic Boost is a P/K product, not a metabolism booster like Canna Boost / Big Bud. Can be very confusing for consumers. Fucking jargon, eh? A good thing about using products from the same range is that it can help avoid mixing up product types due to terminology confusion, as described.

Cheers!
