i have had to buy some Canna Terra Seed Mix as they never had any light mix in my local and my seedlings needed potting up asap!!
having never used it before i was wondering if there was anything i should know about it? ie does it have the same probs that all mix can have regarding mag def?
could i follow a similiar grow schedual to one that oldtimer suggests using for bio bizz range if i was to continue using Canna Terra soils?

any real disasters or triumphs using this stuff?

any help/advice/info would be much appreciated!!!

thanx

Don't over-fuss your seedlings. Just bang them into some standard "potting compost" and watch them go. I never give seeds/seedlings any special compost or attention these days, just a wee pot of my standard compoo, and in they go.
I've just hatched 4 KS in full strength "J Arthur Bowyers with added John Innes". They're loving it smile.gif
But if you want organic, I suspect you may need to pay more. There's loads of very good organic compost out there, I liked "Nature's Own Potting Compost" - it suited my plants just fine and they thrived in it. But it costs about the same as Allmix I'm afraid.

Never tried the Canna stuff. I refuse to buy into all this "Cannabis specific" stuff on the market, its all a load of hype and advertsing nonsense IMO. Good cheap compost and away, suits me - suits my plants.

I've never tried Canna seedmix as i've heard it sets a bit hard. I believe most people just pot up into full strength mix though, i certainly do.

You don't usually see Magnesium defiency until about wk2-3 of flower usually (only on some plants mind). I don't think that's a specific problem to Allmix more the nutes people are using. I've not had it with canna nutes, i find with some plants i need to add some epsoms when using Bbizz nutes.

You can follow the Bbizz grow schedule if you wish in any compost, as you only start feeding once the nutes in the compost are used up. Bear in mind guides are just that....they only give a rough idea, you do need to read the plants.

All the best with em smile.gif

thanx for the reply arnold

i don't mind paying that bit more for organic products, as the end result is far supierior imo!
i was a bit paraniod about chukin them straight into compo as my last lot of seedlings got burnt alive!!!

i agree with you re canna products! like i said the only reason i bought it was because my local had no light or all mix! and was the only soil they had left at the time and i couldn't afford to wait any longer!
as long as they are healthy come potting up time i will be over the moon!

thanx for the info too KC

you guys are, as allways, a great help!!!
