I think it should be ok, the Halo franchise will always draw people in.

IMHO its all about COD6 ODST would have to be something a little bit special to be compared.

Just wondering about the red flashing when you're hit, ppl seem to have moaned about it, was wondering if it's the same in multiplayer, or if you can dual wield in multiplayer like Halo 3.

I bought an xbox360 the other day finally replacing the one that was stolen, but the only game I've got is Sega SuperStars tennis which is crap. Was gonna download but forgot I've got no hard drive.

If I still had my Halo 3 I probably wouldn't buy ODST, but I'm looking at it more as a Halo 3 replacement, which as it supposedly has all the extra maps will be good as this one doesn't have a hard drive. My free xbox gold membership is ticking down.

Ain't got much money and not sure what to buy, but Halo ODST will probably be worth the money, also fancy playing Fallout and Rainbow 6 Vegas 2.

Millions of people have played Halo 3, there has to be one who claims it made them mad, bit like William with the Skunk, don't blame the game if you can't play it properly.

I have just bought ODST yesterday along with a fooking new 360 Elite, my original 360 gave up reading any of my games on Tuesday, so after a couple of days of begging from my young lad for a new one I sent him in the town last night to Game Station where he got an Elite with Halo ODST and Gears of War 2 for £199

So give me a couple of days and I'll tell what we think of ODST

Well I bought the game.

Don't really think it's worth if you already own Halo 3, but it is a good replacement for mine cos it was stolen in a burglary and I get all the extra Halo 3 maps. It comes on 2 discs wasn't expecting that. I'm playing the multiplayer, need to learn my way around the new maps, not tried firefight yet.

Halo ODST has the Halo 3 Mythic Multiplayer disk in the box, so you can play halo 3 multiplayer, it comes with the extra map packs as well or you can play the FireFight mode off the ODST disc. It's just the same as Halo 3 multiplayer, except there is that new multiplayer mode I haven't tried yet. Plus apparently the disc gets you into Halo Reach Beta in 2010 whatever that is.

I'm not the best shot with the sniper rifle, battle rifle would probably be mine, but I go for the vehicles a lot, especially the Ghost.

I like snipping. Am a damn good shot. but driving a wart hog with a gunner is mad fun!

Finished the campaign on normal and done a couple of the "firefight levels" (ODST online multiplayer), which are good fun but it takes an hour and a half per game!

I bought this just because it was cheap as part of an Elite package, and blasted through most of it in one sitting. It's pretty fun when you ignore the various flaws.

Most of reality is the same.

I also picked up an elite with odst, it needs to be played on heroic as normal is way too easy, really enjoyed the campaign much more than the Halo 2 campaign, am playing through halo 3 now.

True enough, but the flaws in ODST really sing out at you. Why the fuck does my character automatically un-crouch and un-zoom the second I get hit? How ridiculous. If you did that in CS, it'd be unplayable.

yeah that was annoying but you can't expect to aim as well when getting hit by enemy fire. and its not CS....
