Hi, I bought some peat free compost last week and repotted my babies,
a week later i've now noticed small mushrooms appearing here and there.
I'm guessin it's not good, anyone know what the implications of this are, and is there anything I can do about it?
Nice one

Well you would need to take the mycelium out to stop them fruiting. Maybe you could remove the top layer of soil and replace with fresh soil from a different batch.

its not a problem to have the odd few mushrooms and fungi growing in your compost, its a sign of good healthy compost with lots of micro life and beneficial's .............

if they bug you then just nip them off and lightly fork over the top inch or so ................. yinyang.gif
