In my loft is like this 8ft x 7ft wide by 7.5ft high room built in kingspan or celotex same thing 100mm thick..... This isnt finished yet but two trays both 6ft, the water is pumped from my airring cupboard which has a 85litre tank in there pumped by a central heating pump which is silent through 22mm copper pipe which reduces into 15mm then into the trays down the trays into a soil stack which is positioned so there will always be 2-4inch of water left in it just incase the roots grow which they will the soil stack runs straight through the ceiling in the airring cupboard back into the tank!

The reason I did this is because no matter how quite you are you seem to always make noise going up or down when you go in the loft so by doin this it it stops the noise of carrying water up and down the ladders or the hatch always opening I will have a webcam setup so I can view the babys growing and will check everyday but wont have to get the ladders down! It also has a pump built into the tank so I can empty it which will make it easy to flush!

I will also be using 3 6inch aircooled tubes modified with my old reflectors on the top all will have 600's in all these will be vented out of my boiler stack on the roof

Spent a lot time & money on this but hopefully it'll be worth it!! I didnt have anything before just open loft the house stank the street stank how nobody noticed was amazing

Like I to say few more days and it will be finished ready for a test run unsure.gif

I'll upload more pics when i get a minute its come on alot since this pic but so you can get a feel for what the hell I'm talkin about wink.gif

I have thought about this and would like other peoples views I've got 3 6" cooltubes which will have 600's in I'm thinking about just using 2 as the room it self is very refective and will save a few quid on the elecy what do you reackon

very nice set up mate. i would be inclined to only use 2 x 600's in a room of that size, as i think it would be plenty.

I'd have left the carpet out too, its a haven for nasties

Bugger the comfort

If you want to light it well then it would need 4x600,s......2 is nowhere near enough

yeaaah cool fuckin space man...,DOOOOM to the day i left my loft grow... cry.gif

good luck bro but as owd said more light need really. wink.gif
cropman
just going by, my room is roughly the same size, and i get by with 2 600's.

but then again owd, imo you are the smartest cookie on these boards and i will always back down to your wisdom. and also i couldnt afford to run 4 600's

atb cropman

e2a ive got 25 plants in 8 aquafarms, i will yeild 3 oz per plant
Owderb
I understand the cost issue but if thats the case and you can only afford to run 2 x 600,s then I would have thought you need to maximize the light you have got so reducing the size of grow area would be more suited

well i do love my farms, they just amaze me how good they are.

they were vegged for 6 weeks, before i took loads of cuttings, then vegged for just under another 2 weeks. the root balls are massive.

stealth67 will also verify the type of yeilds i get with my farms. when using my wilma systems i got nowhere near that myself.

grew 16 plants in 2x 8 pot wilmas, and only got 24oz.

Even for 10 plants? 4 600's seems a bit over kill for 10 plants unsure.gif

Thanks for the input
