Ive been smoking 20+ years, growing for 0 years, just about to bring my first harvest in.

Apart from triming/drying/curing the buds i was origianly intending to make bubble hash and then BHO with the trimmings.

My goal is to make the finest QUALITY hash i can from the trimmings, quanity isnt an issue.

My question is this, if i miss out the bubble hash stage, and go straight to BHO would this give me a higher (no pun intended) quality than doing bubble hash first, then BHO.

I will be collecting the pollen and using that to mix with the BHO to make jelly hash. Originally i had intended to add the powders from the bubble hash to the mix, but from what ive been reading, BHO used on the initial trimmings would recover all the THC that would have been recovered using bubble bags first. So i think i wouldnt loose any THC.

Apart from the advantage of getting a higher quaity product, it would save £80 on bubble bags, and you can buy a lot of a lot of butane for £80 !!!

Or is this idea really stupid idea, and mean i would loose /waste a lot of THC.

hi there ,and congrats on your first crop ,now i have made a good few lots of bho, newport gas is the best.but i now have the bubble bags and have never made any bho since m8.i say get the bubble bags ,they nice and thick now to! i have the old sacs but they still work a treat ,so the £80 is well worth it for the sacs /bags ,as they last forever and all you need is ice and water,the old gas is expensive.i love my hash i do ,and love honey oil to ,but hash is my favorite ,due to that you get the full on flavour of your plants in the hash,mm.made sum of sum lemn skunk trim and its well lemon smelling a smokes full of lemon terpins

¿Am I missing something here - why on Earth would you want to mix pollen in with your trichs, and how come you have any mature male plants around to take it from anyway?

You'll be cool either way. The butane wash will either remove All of the THC straight away, or what remains after bubbling/dry sifting. If bubbling - dry the weed back out again before oiling as water makes it a bit murky.

One question - how are you collecting the sift? That will affect quality.

For the highest possible quality - just oil it as hash is weaker.

Sorry think i confused you Scribble i meant Trichs, iam still getting up to speed on the correct terminology (ive seen the term used on a number of sites, and just assumed that pollen was the correct one, damm confusion when some head shops call boxes with screens pollen catchers), and i sure havnt got any male pollen, until i feel confident on being able to sex the plants iam sticking with feminized beans, i think my grow after next will be the first with "normal" beans

Iam using a Bubble Box for dry sifting, iam also going to get a hand grinder with screen to break the trim down a bit before further processing.
