Generally this involves rubbing the trim against some kind of mesh until all the trichomes have broken off toland in the bucket below. This is then left to settle in the bucket, as the trichs and other solids sink in the water.
Now at this point people do different things to remove the excess water from the bucket, using ladels, tubing to syphon it etc.
I was thinking about this and thought, would it be an idea to use a bag inside the bucket that collects the trich water, and then tie the bag up to trap the trichs while removing the excess water, hopefully without causing too much turbulence. If done right this could then be emptied out and the remaining water left to evaporate naturally.
I have done a diagram

Step 1: String, rope or some kind of tie is wrapped around the plastic bag containing the water and settled trichomes.
Step 2: The tie is gently tightened to seperate the excess water from the trichs.
Step 3: The tie is secured and the excess water is dumped / set aside to see if any good stuff remains.
Step 4,5,6: All that remains is the trichs and plant material with a small amount of water.
The tie is loosened and the bag can be emptied onto a surface to let the remaining water evaporate. If there is still a lot of excess water the technique can be used again, perhaps after a period of settling?
Anyway I think I have thought about this for far too long... It is probably a silly idea for some unknown reason.
