i have a space in my grow room about 2.5ftx 5ft in my grow room and it just seems a waste of space, do you folks know wot i could fill it with? i have 2 x 600w in my room but the canna takes up most the light, however theres light in the area, its just not goin to be directly under the lights

Tomatoes. They look similar, are good for u, prevent sunburn and I'm pretty sure the growing technique is very similar to cannabis. my Granda and my Uncles have grown all sorts of fruit n veg for years so I'm lucky enough to come from a green thumbed family.

just think of something you'd like to grow and see if its capable!! At the end of the day, every old person round here has an allotment and claims they grow the best toms, potatoes etc....so fuck it, no-one should find it suspicious!!

Am I the only one thinking this.
How about MORE PLANTS. grow more weed fill your "grow room" with some extra plants and get a better yield fook tomatoes they grow in the garden !!! indoor growing is for indoor plants.

Between grows in the winter, or during veg when the light's on anyway, I grow a range of herbs: basil, thyme, flat-leaf parsley, oregano, marjoram and mint. I'm pretty into cooking, so there's a high turnover in the grow tent.

Mojitos with fresh mint at Christmas is pretty cool. guitar.gif
Chilli
I often grow garlic in mine for pest control.

Don't go for the Avacados, they are TREES - about 8 to 15 feet tall.

Not a stupid question. The science of allelopathy studies complementary planting. Plants can release chemicals that help/hinder growth in others. Be nice to know if there is a plant that boosts canna yields! Hops, nettles?

Miracle fruit bushes can take years to mature but the berries are worth a couple of quid each. The blurb says grow them somewhere shady, and an illicit grow room is well shady. smile.gif

Hi minority,

I used to grow a range of lettuce and herbs in my spare space, also I would give stuff like toms, peppers etc a head start in my room and plant them out, rather than plant the veg garden from seed. I kept a couple of interesting chillis too. I wanted to try something bonkers like vanilla pods.. I understand they like dappled shade? unsure.gif

..In the end although it was great to go tending my weed and harvesting salad for dinner I overdid it with cheap compost and ended up the nasties everywhere yucky.gif

I'm getting into orchids at the moment, just phalaenopsis at the mo (moth orchids) but to be honest I wouldnt grow them alongside weed. But I DO want a display/grow cabinet specifically for something like that, something I can show people so they know I'm a proper tosser lol.gif

...also had an idea about plants AND animals, something with tropical plants and geckos maybe lol.gif lol.gif wacko.gif I dunno I just fancy a cabinet full of jungle and geckos and maybe a mango doh.gif
