freaking out,itching all over,just noticed loads of dark,small creepy crawlies at and around the base of my pots and seem to be running(very fast)in and out of the drainage holes,when you disturb them they fly off but mostly crawl.thing they might be fungas flies or something already treating a fungus leaf infection with regular doses of essence,only 3 weeks in flower on some 9 weekers.got to get rid of these pests staight away as they really do freak me out .Any suggestions from you guys,hopefully something i can grab from b&q etc and zapp these mothers before i go insane need something thats not going to poison me bud though please???

where do you buy it from bizzaro?how effective isit and im presuming its ok in flower?do you use it as a root-drench aswell as spray,thanks for the fast reply,like lightning

Greens sell Gnat Off and it can be used as a soil drench.

i would get some sticky traps aswell, that slows the breeding down of fungus gnats, i had them a while back, not now, you will be suprised how many they catch, it's a bit late for using chemicals now 3 weeks in,

already made a garlic solution but havent applied it yet as a friend has offered to give me some Plant Vitality+,has anyone used this stuff?sposed to be very effective on spider mites but not sure if it will kill fungus gnats,anyone???

total noobness here but shouldn't you be careful with the chemicals you use at this stage, because of the flowering but also some of the harsher stuff might not work with the essence?

Won't certain chemicals kill the beneficials that your essence applications are trying to build up?

just sprayed garlic round pots and the critters are hiding for now.not srayed leaves with anything yet and know most pesticides wont be much good for the eccence fungi the plant vitality+ stuff is suposed to be good to spray right till the end of flower apparantly

JAB with syncro boost,was cheap from macro,fungal infection came at a similar time as got the JAB,not using anymore

I got the same thing as soon as a used JAB with syncro boost but mine was from B+Q I wonder if others have had same problem I used yellow traps and topped the pots off with washed sharp sand and topped that with clay pebb's that will usually clear the little buggers within a week

i use JAB with syncro boost from b&q and also got fungus gnats quite early on in my grow. i've used sharp sand and its kept them to a minimum (like 1 or 2 every 2/3 days) i squash any i see.

Hmmmm, last grow was in JAB with syncro, got fungus gnats but there was only a few, just used to squash them on sight and lightly sprayed the top of the compost with bug clear, there was none left by the end of the grow. I was under the impression that they were only a problem if there was significant numbers of them.

Using JAB with added JI this grow and nothing so far.

think bad compo has alot to do with how its stored aswell as other reasons,sometimes a bargain aint a bargain if you get me and that last 300ltrs of jab might not have been as good a deal as 1st thought .soon,when i get my new pad,going to start making my own compo and the 1st persons reccomendations i will look up is ot1s,nether gone far wrong with the canna when ive been tuned into ot1fm on your radio dial hurhur hur
