I have a plant in a pot outdoors in the eastern US. She has been bud building now for maybe 2 months. I did not mark the calendar when I first started to see the flowering so i honestly have no idea of a date.
The light here has not went to 12/12 yet. Today the light is 12 hour 40 minute, and dark is 11 hour 20 minutes. I know the plant see the constant change in day length as a sign that fall is coming, so she is preparing and flowering. Most of the info I find is geared for indoor growing and is 12/12 specific. I cant find anything daylight specific about outdoor growing.
Is this pretty much the standard; just watch the tric colors and harvest when i want it? or is there a daylight thing I have to wait on too? such as it being 12/12 or later before harvesting? 12/12 will not occur here until Sept 25th.
Thanks

On out doors it's the plant's tric's that will tell you amber or milky remember that they dont allways go through the amber stage dont worry about the 12/12 stuff thats indoors plants

an old timer once told me that the best time to harvest was on or the day after a full moon.. he said this would be when the trics would be at their fullest .. not sure how true that was.. he even stood by this for indoor harvesting.. sid it had something to do with gravitational pull and magnetic pull .. crazy old bastard... or maybe not?

Thats what i was thinking. I got to looking at all the colas and only one was cloudy and amber.... All the others were mostly clear and cloudy. I cut the one with ambers and will be keeping an eye on the others.
