Say goodbye to the auto generation, its out grown itself.
Like a dying star, a little glimse of light soon to be nothingness.

a friend needs autos as the light cycle is an issue where he is based(im not educated on natural sunlight hours, particularly abroad, he isnt far from equator in desert like conditions) and the second issue is heat.

Grimble Grumble, when you have nothing constructive to add keep your ramblings to yourself.
LR2 is worth a go mate, it does finish later than advertised though and is prone to rot. Usually 12 weeks.

Billios, if your m8 is close to the equator I doubt he will be bothered by bud rot.... he shouldn't grow sats if he wants a quick yield.... but indica's and hybrids should act close to autos I'd have thought in 12/12.. autos work in the higher latitudes outdoors as they don't care about light cycles but as they don't grow much before maturing then this must be because they don't get the none 12/12 drive to veg... but in a 12/12 environment I doubt it's going to happen any better for hybrids or indicas as they don't get any drive to veg... although if your m8 has a indoor veg room he's quids in on a better yield I'd have thought

Indeed - close to the equator it's close to 12/12 all year round. Autos like more light hours than that. Maybe a nice landrace Indica from the likes of the Real Seed Company would do the trick. Cheap too.

I did some white dwarf outdoor guerrilla style and it was way to much work for little effort. I ripped them out and put proper plants in which will yield much more

A nice
indica or
indica-dom hybrid that's been vegged adequately before putting outside should do nicely around the equatorial regions I would think.

If you are near the equator then any good sativa will flower naturally - thats where sativas come from in the first place.

Your mother must be so proud.
To the original poster, can I ask why you require an auto? If the hours are not
quite 12/12 you could always try something like passion#1 or purple#1 that will flower under 13/11.

If he's near the equator his choice of suitable strains goes up not down. The only things that wouldn't flower all year round are sativas with genetics originally from near the equator. All indicas would flower all year round. Sats that are from well above or below the equator could also be flowered all year round. No need for autos at all.

lrxak47 normally gets the best reviews for yield and a better potency then lr2 but its a bit late in the year for any grow now
