You wrote this LONG ago and I wanted to know if you think this mix would work well in 1m x 1m x 20cm bed with organic liquid ferts? Or would is there a better mix than this for my bed? Yield is important to me, I'm not taking the risk of growing and then not getting a decent amount of bud so I don't want low yielding mixes. The reason I'm going for the bed is because I think with unlimited scope for root growth I'll be making up what organics loose in yield and having some tasty herb... Thoughts? here is the post:

This is a grow mix we have developed over the last few years. I can’t recommend enough the organic base fertilisers produced by Jetze’s Bio Bizz company. In this latest mix we have 1. removed the
perlite, the dust from this product is now thought to be carcinogenic in the same way as the dust from rockwool and glass fibre products are. 2. We have also removed both sedge and moss peat
and replaced it with coir. Coir [co co fibre] is a renewable resource unlike draining and removing peat from sites of special scientific interest.
We use sog with selected sativa dominant mother lines. 5.5 or 6 litre sq pots flowering time 9 to 12 weeks by variety. 48 plants per KW of mixed lighting. The yield is between 48 and 56 ounces 28 to
33 grams per plant area = 5 x 4 ft.
Compost per 50 litres [When settled in pots]
Every thing is riddled through a 1/4 inch sieve
25 litres of coco
12 litres of sterilised organic Kettering loam
10 litres of Bio Bizz wormest
5 litres of Bio Bizz premix
200 ml of dolomite lime
300 ml of Calcified seaweed
100 ml rock phosphate
Tgf if you are going to select and keep mother plants our methods may also be of interest to you so I’ve added some links that may be of help. I never finished the growing on article as I have been ill
for a long time. Hans these old articles may also be of interest to you as well as our methods don’t follow the general Dutch model and maybe show we are trying a little to develop the science of organic growing.
Attached a picture of a clone that has had 14 days veg in its final pot the above mix. As you can see the fert balance of the mix is good all the leaves are healthy, has grown from 5 inches when potted
to 20 inches and now ready to transfer to the flowering room.
