Was looking for summat else and I just discovered a cache of old gamecube games I thought I'd lost smile.gif

My GC is my only console at the moment so it's ace. Best among them are timespitters 2 - was a fine game in its day. And the mighty super smash bros melee biggrin.gif Still a superb game. And I deleted it off my memory card, so I get to play it all again from the start (I lost it years ago too, so I have forgotten most of it)

Result biggrin.gif

I still got 4 cans of beer left too biggrin.gif

Dunno, I don't think there's many nintendo heads on the forum, but I think proper nintendo heads know what it means, it's a REAL result yahoo.gif Cos it was a BELTING good game. And I get to play it all again, from the start 59.gif
RedEyeJedi
yeeeeee. biggrin.gif

i had a liking for super mario sunshine myself.
can't beat nintendo, not as good technology as microsoft and sony, but the games are classics and esp. party games, hours of fun to be had.
bakedbean
Hell yes. The days of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on the N64 were brilliant. I also bought a gamecube when they were out and was in awe at the graphics lol.gif. And the size of the discs!
Best game I had on the cube was Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. I recommend that one if you haven't played it. Hella good lol.gif
Volcanologist
The golden days of the gamecube

I was at university when this system was released, me and 3 of my housemates went without beer/weed and other student essentials for about a month so we could all chip in to buy one.

Zelda windtalker was the game of choice for many a moon.

I still play on my origional gameboy loads, wish i still had my 64 for golden eye.

Good find Booj i hope it keeps you happy for a while.

Perfect Haze
Reminded me of an article I read the other day that gave me a chuckle smile.gif

supersmashbros is an absolute classic m8, and you can play the gamecube games on a wii, and the controllers fit in too, bring ssb to a new nintendo (wii) fan , and they'll love it ,
btw the new wii version is top too.

(and coupla new marios coming out round xmas)

and if youve not tried it , check out mario galaxy on wii , brilliant m8 , up with mario64 in my mind

Excellent find there Boojum - I loved Timesplitters 2 and SSBM brings back some good memories as my mam bought it for me as I recovered from major surgery lol.gif

I second bakedbean on Eternal Darkness - it's a totally absorbing game with it's Lovecraftian and Poesque influences and made me jump a fair few times. The Sanity meter makes for an interesting concept and the game has great replay value.

eternal darkness is brilliant .
The only game (ive played) that f****s with you on a different level.

Your character's going mad , and then the gc starts 'playing up ' , error messages , visual distortions . Genius

Aye, Eternal Darkness was excellent (that's another one in my cache of discovered games smile.gif ) I may give that a go too, though it won't be the same as the first time. The sanity thing was absolutely brilliant, as you lost your sanity you'd start to hear whispers and footsteps, people crying and screaming, the walls would start bleeding, you'd get stuff happening that seemed like your telly was on the blink, you'd enter new areas walking on the ceiling etc, just superb smile.gif

Zelda windwaker was another brilliant game (dismissed by idiots as being too 'cute'), but then all the Zelda games are brilliant. Don't have that one any more sad.gif
