Right iv got a few pics from my/our 'drip,slunki n I's trip to dam a couple month back,...now iv allways meant to put a post up bout out times there,..BUT as i have to 'EDIT' the pics iv come a cropper!!

basicly i took one pic,.opened it in ms paint,..painted out some of one pic and i thought id saved that pic to a new file!!...well the fuckes put it back in my pic main file i took it from in the first place,...now my problem is iv lost the original picture now!!.....fuckin belter too of driptray well n truly fucked up n crashed out wi his shoes off and feet up in this one cafe...lol.gif...lol.gif....quality pic...BUT now the twats got a green face!!!!....lol.gif....sorry driptray,....So how do i put it back!!...and how do i save it to a seperate file?? leaving the original pic in tact in itas original place??

i even firstly copied the file so in case i fucked up owt i still had originals....well its green in both files now?!!!...TWAT!!

these trips SHOULD be logged here FFS!.

Youre a bit buggered if youv'e already saved it, if you want the original back youll have to copy it over again from your camera.

In future, make a directory to put the pix in, and then before operating on them, make a copy of that whole directory as a backup and call it something distinctively different from the original.

Also, use 'Save As' and not 'Save' which it sounds you've been doing - 'Save As' allows you to rename the file and asks you where you want it to be saved.

Aaaah thanks a SQUILLION scribble,...yeah i reckon thats the key!!
i did make a copy file to use on the ms paint in first place tho expecting it to put em back there,...but like ya say i thinmk i been hittin 'save'!!

Yeah - never use 'Save' if you're wanting to keep the original - always use 'Save As' so that you can call it something else and/or store it in another directory. thumbsup.gif

Bizzaro, if you've deleted the files from your camera, download something like Recuva - it's a free file recovery program, so unless you erased them, or have otherwise overwritten them, there's a chance you could get them back. Good luck mate, hope you get it sorted. smile.gif
