My first grow (x3 Lowryder 2's) was harvested yesterday after 63 days from seed,.one was 2.5ft tall and that was with bends in the main colas from LST training!,the other two were around 2ft in height.They are now hanging upside down in my dark growroom on pegs with the extraction fan on and no circulatory fans,temps are at 19c and humidity is around 55%.So hopefully in around 10 days time after more trimming i will have the dry weight before it goes into the jars. If i get over 2oz in dry weight i'll be very happy as i'm about to start my Killer Skunk!
I've already smoked some popcorn buds which weighed in at 6g's bone dry after flash drying them on top of the ballast last week.
Here is a picture of them all hanging after the chop,if you would like to get a better idea on how big they were etc..,you can read my grow diary in my signature for more pictures if you like.

So how much do you reckon i will get in dry weight before i put it into jars?
I will post the results here as soon as they are dry!

Sorry forgot to add the bits of popcorn bud in a cardboard box which i plan to put in with the trimmings for my Bubblebag run.

I reckon you'll hit 2 oz easy enough mate, but it's hard to say as those buds will shrink loads as they dry and some nugs are just far denser than others....either way looks like you got plenty of smoke

Aww well done that is a nice sight, I'm just about to switch cycles on my first grow, and cant wait. So no expert myself. But I reckon you got a good four oz there pehaps even a bit more. Be interested too see what the final tally is when dry. Enjoy your lovely big buds.

dunno but the pegs are great

take off 75% off the total and don't forget you ant going to smoke stems so it will be much less than wet bud weight mam

I've just taken them off the pegs so you can get a better picture of the buds.This is 24 hours after chop and the lighter in the middle of pic is for scale purposes.
The picture does not include the popcorn buds,they are still in the cardboard box.
Everything is now back on the pegs and they will stay there until they are dry enough to put in the jars(brown paper bags first to make sure)
Temps are at 19c and humidity is 55%.
I'm off to scrape more of this resin off my fingers!

Mate im not sure on weight for ya but put it this way, you are gonna have a shit load to smoke when it is dry. I would have said 9+oz easily from that lot but like as afore said, you cant tell because we can't see how dense those buds are. That does look like a heavanly pile of buds

I'd say the buds above the lighter will be 1/8+, so 2+ oz there.

e2a. Is is solid when you press it, or does it give quite a bit?

After just giving them a little squeeze the all the bigger buds are quite dense,compact and heavy.The stickiness is worse (or should i say better!) than yesterday and that lovely lemony aroma is truly amazing

Thanks for the replies everyone,so it looks like i will clear the 2oz i wanted!
I'm well impressed how these Lowryder#2's have turned out after reading so much negativity about them.I would recommend these to anyone as a first time grow to use as a learning curve,i'm confident now and learned so much and got good hopes for my Killer Skunks.
Take into account i've never grew any kind of plants or vegetables or even had houseplants as i don't like them,Believe me if i can do it anyone can!
This brilliant site has taught me everything i know and without the knowledge of people like you and others i would not have even attempted a grow and being self sufficient,instead i would of kept on being a mug and buying sub-standard weed for good money!

Mine used to look like ,that 4+oz maybe more hard to tell.

Well after 3 days they have hardly shrunk in size,i guess it takes around a week though for any significance shrinkage.
I took a few airbuds out of the box and put them on top of my boiler in a brown paper bag to dry for a and even these were a better smoke than some of the stuff i have paid for.
A few of you are saying 2oz+ so i'm high in more ways than one!

Im no expert but want to know now. a tenner sais it's 4 oz and an eigth...not counting the popcorn

All il add is make sure ya pull those bigger budds apart slightly during drying to help fend off the dreaded rot.

Well after 10 days of drying and their final trim off the stems i've got the total combined DRY WEIGHT of the three Lowryder#2's.
After the final trim they were chopped up and placed into jars and i checked them every couple of hours for the first day to make sure no moisture was left in the buds,They have now been in the jars for 4 days and have been burped for 30 mins daily with no moisture to be seen anywhere so i am satisfied they are totally dry now.
So it was all weighed earlier on,i am totally shocked at the final amount and was never expecting this much!.I even weighed it on different scales to make sure and everything double checked by myself and Mrs Amnesia.

I've now got way more than i needed until my next harvest of the Killer Skunk i just started!!!
The smoke after curing even after these few days is a much more fuller,richer taste and i'm right now.

it's a lovely feeling though ey? first jars of your own work...

if you only grew 3 lowryders the maximum your gonna get really is now more than 2 oz a plant at very best. so anywhere between 95 - 135 grams

No ,my dry weight was 6 ounces 18 grams = (186 grams).

shit man thats a very good harvest from lw2, i had similar 3, 4 years ago but havnt been able to pull the same from em since but that was under a 600w, nice work mate,id be well chuffed with that harvest on a 250w with lw2 especially. an on ya first grow, sweet as. keep it up

Thanks Grimweeder,i was well impressed with my first grow especially with all the negativity i've read about them.I reckon i got a lucky pack of seeds though as quite a few growers do seem to have no luck with them,for this reason i would not grow them again as the risks seem to high.I still got 2 seeds left but i will guerilla grow them next year and see how they do outdoors!.
The smoke is excellent,nice full flavour lemony taste with a decent high and much better than most dealer weed i was paying good money for previously. It's been in the jars a few weeks now and the taste and strength is getting even stronger,and the aroma is good enough to eat when i open a jar to refill me percy!
I'm on my second grow now doing 4 Killer Skunk,but i have upgraded my light to the Lumatek 400w Digital and improved my intakes.In fact i'm starting my grow diary today so keep a look out for it in my signature if you wish.
I have also got some Pure AK from Female seeds and my single Bubblegum ready to crack if i get all males from the Killer Skunk.

i always weigh the bud after immediately after manicuring, and then again weigh the final weight before doing anything with it

how i dry, on nets in the understairs cupboard, always gives me 23-25% return

only once, over lots of crops has this been different, and then it came back at 32%

to this day i wonder why that was and how to replicate it again!

I weigh it wet, and on my first two grows it's been bang on 80%. Might be because when wet there are tons of sticks, then when dry I cut all the sticks off and leave myself with pure bud.
