Can anyone tell me what sort of material i can use to make a front door to stop the light coming out of the cracks. It already has wooden doors on hinges but light leaks out, any thoughts?

spliff.gif yo acky!!!!
you can use a material called black and white and put velcro around the whole front oft he drobe with the doors off and cut yourself a hole in the middle to make a flap replace your doors and hey presto!!
there are guides in the diy section or you can use gaffer tape around the edges where the light leaks?
with the b&w your trying to make a curtain inside the doors?!? with a zip or a flap.
hope this is useful

I used a thing called P profile after some advise from someone on here.
Its a Self adhesive draught excluder for gaps from 2mm to 5mm.
Its comes in strips and goes in the inside of the frame, so when you close the door it seals all the gaps ...
worked a treat for me and was SO simples.

Im trying to do the same thing, wouldnt cutting a hole in the middle let light in? I was thinking of batoning around just a few inches back from the door and attaching the B&W to make a roll up curtain. Do you think this is a good idea or do you think the B&W would split from excessive rolling?

Cheers

might cause issues in the long run and as for putting velcro round then B&W, iirc according to at least 1 member here, it can be right noisy if you're going in a couple of times a day and may end up getting on yer threpenny bits.

unsure.gif I think arnold layne has a batten round his drobe door as you describe and then a piece of ply that's cut to fit with a couple of small handles on it ,the negative pressure keeps it in place perhaps with a little help from cupboard door magnets , then the doors hide it all ph34r.gif

Hope that helps wink.gif

The Plywood idea sounds good to me its in me bedroom wanna keep noise to a minimum (dont wanna wake the missus up!) so that will do perfect!
