Hi all,

Today i was going to put my babies into new pots (two of them were already in new pots for a week) when i found out that i had like.. HUNDREDS of small white bugs wandering around on the compost like it was a big shopping mall.

The two plants affected are one that i changed pot last week, which i used compost from a friend of mine that was left open from may of this year until i used it (i think that the bugs were rwaiting there for the fest) and one plant that was near that plant.

My other three plants are OK, i cant notice bugs in there (after a huge inspection on them).

There are no bugs on the plants for now.

The bugs are white, VERY VERY small, they move _very_ fast and look like ants or i think that i can see two small antenas on the bugs.. but they are to little to be sure.
What do you guys think what it can be ? I can't take pictures of them, they are very very small , white bugs and move really fast..

As far as i can see they only reside on compost and not on the plant itself, i tried to identify them on the plants but i can't see no bugs on them.

Well, for now i gave them 1.5ML/L of neem on the water and put some solid neem on top of the compost (to kill them if they try to run? tongue.gif)

Now i will wait for tomorrow to see on how it is going... I HOPE THEY DIE! And i hope as well that you can clear me on what this bugs are...

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok,

So i digged a little bit inside the earth and found some workms on the earth...
They look like this: http://immerseyoursoulinlove.files.wordpre.../04/larvas2.jpg fly worms... but i dont have any flies inside the growroom or in any other place near the room....

do you guys have seen any larvae? can indicate me some common larvae that i can find on soil ? (light/all mix)

I'm a bit desperate/scared of what it might be...

Do you need any info in order to help me better? (can't take any pics because the bugs are very small).

does it look like this Symphilid?

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Nope, not looking nothing like that... they look like small four /six legged bugs but not spiders... really strange... they look more like predators than pests lol.gif... i'm scared that they may harm my plants though... i'm taking close attention to them and it does not seem that they are growing but getting less and less for now... at a very slow rate.

are the white an really fast, and just live under the soil, an either come out of the bottom with excess water when watered n also run across the top when watered?

I think springtails, too. Large nubers can cause a few problems to small seedlings but probably harmless to larger plants and clones.

hi,

for the information that you showed me they look like springtails... small and white... so, no worries with them?

Kind regards,

Sorry to crash the post, but could someone confirm what danku is showing in the pictures? I saw a few of these last night in the run-off when i was watering. There is no sign of leaf damage so just want to know if I need to worry about these
