hi guys


I'm growing in pots outdoor. ive used a compost mix and have been feeding the plants nettle juice every now and again.
i remember a while ago watching kog the australian grower (link at bottom) and him saying that throwing some wood ash around the plants during flowering would help them since its a rich source of potassium.

im just worried that the wood ash will fuck up the plants because of the ph and since the plants are in pots
so should i add the ash or does any one have an organic solution for flowering plants?

I would play it safe with my plants, I put wood ash on my veg patch, but not on my ladies because it can also be very acidic as well as high in (K), use tomatorite if you’re having problems getting nutes.

I got some good advice. Some things you could look into.

Yes (K) is good for flowering, but there is no way of measuring the strength of the (K) in the wood ash burnt in a homemade fire and if it's going into pots it could be way to excessively high for canna plants.
